A few years ago I heard a song 1 time that left
an impact on me and have never found it.

Basis of lyrics is about a soldier who was going
to buy a plot of land and build a white house up on the
hill.

Some other ensuing lyrics take place, no memory of them.

Ending of the song is the soldier is brought home
and buried in or near the white house on the hill.

Been looking off and on for several years, real
tear jerker, but great song.

Its like it just vanished.

Hope one of you may know of it.
BTW, it is a country genre.

BTW, while going for a long walk with my wife this morning, she commented
how great the music was we played/watched last night.

My Vista system decided to take a long walk, so am using my laptop with
HDMI output. Run it to my 47 inch LED-LCD tv and played the music.
Of course I think she likes Norah Jones better.
