looking for some advice on this module.

I have always had it connected via midi cables, but I have been upgrading/changing layout of my set up.

Any way I now have connected the sd 1000 through usb connection to pc.

Now I am getting a faint noise like distant rumbling on high volume.


Anyone who may have one of these throw any light on this for me.

No noise when connected through midi cables.

First, to rule out everything but the Ketron,

- Try another USB cable.

- Try another USB port. USB 2 not 3. A port on the motherboard, i.e. off the back of the PC.

Hmmm....

If it's USB have you tried plugging into another computer/laptop around the house in case it's merely a configuration setting on your DAW?

Just a thought, but maybe I'm missing something here.

I got a hold of an email for the company so I just sent one tonight.

Hopefully its not a fault with the module.

Have you tried using the 5 pin MIDI ports and a couple of 5 pin MIDI to USB converter?

I have a V-Amp Pro the I thought was dead. It was connected via S/PDIF cables. I connected it via 5 pin MIDI to USB and all is good. I tried a couple of S/PDIF cables with no success. The S/PDIF ports just stopped working.

Just a thought that you might want to try.

I had it connected to midi to midi 5 pin, but I have now changed my audio interface.

New interface has no midi it is a mixer type, this has only started now that I need to use usb .

I have ordered the midi to usb cable tonight so I will give it a go when I get it.
