I saw on the list "American Coots" there plenty of those around here, and some Canadian ones too!
My friend,

I think Canadian Coots are called Loons. They apparently must be the national bird because they are pictured on Canadian currency which is affectionately called Loonies.

There is nothing as hauntingly lonely as a Loon's song.

I wrote "Loony Tunes" for my late Canadian cousin Helen Gaynor-Mills in Moncton, NB.

so would a Canadian with dual American citizenship be a looneycoot or a cootyloon? Just pondering
Thank you for sharing that link, Don Gaynor! Some amazing samples.

I'm looking forward to experiment with them in Form or Halion next time I have a vacation. Those sounds are just perfect for a granular synth. smile

Thanks Will,

I've used real audio clips in my music. Would love to hear what you do with these clips.
