This article is interesting but deceiving. At first it sounds good, like indies are doing well and getting better. Then later on what does it say about real world income? 10-20K a year, that's it and people are doing it for the love of music not the money. My musical income was around 12-15K a year in 1974. That's when an average apartment rented for $100-150 a month.
