This is an update on the problem I have been experiencing with delays in releasing my music through LANDR.COM over the last few months.
It may be of interest to other BIAB users who include Realtracks in songs that they offer for streaming and download on websites such as Amazon Music, iTunes, Deezer, Tidal, Google Play, Spotify, etc.

I have released ten songs in the last 12 months through LANDR, but on each occasion there has been a delay when they have previewed the song pending release.
They send me an email which advises that they have detected that samples have been detected which may include copyrighted material, and requesting confirmation that I have permission from the copyright owner to use them.
Please note that they are not actually refusing to release my songs, and the email states that confirmation is only required for my own protection to prevent any potential problems following the release.

On each occasion, I reply to the email advising them that the songs include BIAB Realtracks which are royalty free and that I do not require PG Music's permission in order to use them. I also cut and paste the following link from PG Music's Sales FAQ:

https://www.pgmusic.com/salesfaq1.htm#22

This is always satisfactory to them and they immediately respond advising me that the release can now go ahead, but the problem is that it delays the release by approx. a week on each occasion.
As a result of the inconvenience this process has caused me, I do not intend to renew my 12 month subscription with LANDR.COM when it expires shortly, and I am strongly recommending that BIAB users don't use LANDR either.

Incidentally, I requested my latest song to be released 4 days ago (ie. https://soundcloud.com/andyshearer-1/one-last-kiss), and promptly received the all too familiar email from the LANDR Rescue Team. I replied immediately and I expect the release to go ahead sometime early next week.

Here is LANDR's response which I have received today Jan 24, 14:05 EST.
Unfortunately it doesn't give me confidence that things will improve in the near future and so I still would not recommend them to anyone who is releasing a song or instrumental that contains BIAB Realtracks:

Hey there,

Roger here, thanks for reaching out.
Glad you're releasing with LANDR!

Sorry about that. Every submitted release goes through our digital fingerprinting system, where those containing licensed content is flagged to be manually reviewed by our team of Distribution specialists.

There is unfortunately no way to bypass this for the time being, however we're always looking to improve the LANDR experience as a whole.

We appreciate your feedback and are looking to improve this for users in the future.

The good news is that every release goes through the same manual review process regardless of whether it has flags or not, so these messages and flags are not incurring additional delays on your releases. smile

I've gone ahead and delivered your release to the stores!

Each store has its own processing time, but generally your release will be live on Apple, Google Play, Deezer and Tidal within 1-3 days.

Spotify normally takes around 5 business days for your release to be live on there.
The smaller stores may take a little more time too, so please be patient.

If you have set a target release date, your track will go live in all stores on at that time.

Hope this helps! smile

All the best,
Roger
