I was listening to an excellent radio show today about blues harmonica.
The presenter called the harmonica a "Mississippi saxophone".
I'd never heard that before... it made me laugh.

Has anyone heard that before?

A quick google got this,

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Mississippi-Saxophone-Various-Artists/dp/B008BDOIXI

Product description gave this,

Some call it a Mississippi Saxophone or a tin sandwich, others simply refer to it as a harp.

We called the larger harmonica a "mouth organ" as kids, we used to have a double sided one in key of C and the other side in key of G.

We had a little group of four or five and played in the local festival, just imagine the sound we made, half playing in the key of C and the other half playing in the key of G.
