Help!
Somewhere on this site there's been mention of a company that fits my Subject line.
I've tried the "search" function here to no avail.
Can someone refresh my three-quarter-century-old memory? lol
Thanks!
LLOYD S

If you are in the USA you might want to take a look at GuitarFetish:

https://www.guitarfetish.com

I have a couple of their guitars and I found them to be of better quality than the one I have from Harley Benton. Plus it arrived within a week. YMMV

If you are on Facebook, look up a group called Awesome Cheap Guitars. There's often a lot of guitars being offered for sale. Nothing is permitted if it's over $500, hence the name of the group.

Thanks Guitarhacker, I appreciate the heads up!

1) Buy used.

2) Budget guitars are WAY better now than 20 - 30 years ago. Just about anything above $300 can be made playable with a good setup. $500 - $600 is a major step up.

I bought two white guitars this year from Guitar Fetish:

https://www.guitarfetish.com/XV-900-Semi-Hollowbody-Flame-Maple-Alnico-Fat-Pats_c_154.html

https://www.guitarfetish.com/NEW-PRO920-Semi-Hollow-Alnico-P90-Soapbar-KWIKPLUG-Trapeze-Tailpiece_c_1122.html

I bought the P90 version first and it played perfectly right out of the box, i.e. no setup necessary. I then bought the humbucker version and it was the same way, no setup necessary. They both were $330 USD.
