If you are looking for some older but great sounding FM patches look at FM8. It has 1200 different patches/sounds and they are all customizable. It only is available in 64 bit. This is a no brainer IMHO:

PS - I have had FM8 for a good number of years now and I paid a lot more than $10 USD mad

I bought Komplete 9 Ultimate many years ago. I've never upgraded it, but did pay for a Kontakt v6 license. I've only installed parts of K9U on my new DAW laptop. Your post reminded me of FM8's versatility, so I'm installing it now. It's already paid for, but $10 seems like a really good deal for those who don't have a license from one of the Komplete versions.

@Mario: +1

Should also mention: Not only customizable but also randomizable, imports dx hardware presets/soundbanks (thousands available for free on the net, including original Yamaha factory presets), tons of third-party presets available, and lots of design/performance features (randomizable multi-lane arpeggiator/sequencer, XY morph pad, graphic OP manipulation---to name a few), works as stand-alone and plugin. Things can go quick or deep. There are a lot of innovative FM VIs out there now but this is still a real tool.
