Please pray for my husband and me. After months of tests and a trip to MDA in Houston, he's started chemo here yesterday. It's scary stuff. He has some weird mutation that makes it harder to identify the source so there will be yet more scans etc., in addition to the chemo.
My life feels so "other worldly" since the C bomb dropped. I am a woman of faith yet my emotions are like a rollercoaster.
Thoughts and prayers for healing and strength would be so helpful and kind of you.
I know there's hope the docs are amazed the golf ball tumor on his neck has almost totally shrunk and gone from prayers alone.
Some days are so hard I'm just overwhelmed and feel so alone. Thank you so very much.
God bless,
Josie

I'm wishing your husband a quick and complete recovery and remission.
You and your husband are in our prayers Josie.
FYI- I have been down that chemo route. According to my doctor most people take 100% chemo for a couple of weeks and when the side effects start happening they go down to 80%, then 60%, etc. I had 8 weeks of 100% then my body started to shut down. Then I went 80% for the last 8 weeks. I was so tired if I sneezed I would have to take a nap! Seriously I was sleeping 15-20 hours a day. What really helped me was Whey protein, the kind body builders take. I became more active and less sleepy. You may want to make a note of the Whey protein suggestion, it worked for me and it may work for your husband if he gets really tired.. YMMV

Josie,
I'm sorry for the journey your husband and you are enduring. Here's to full remission.
Thank each of you.
I hope to continue making music. These days I slip away to my music room on nights I'm not too tired to concentrate.
It takes me away from it all for a little while.
Music is magical that way.
Prayer is powerful.
We are so grateful for yours.
Josie
