I think this one really showcases what Band-in-a-Box can do - even if I say so myself, haha :-) . I won't give away anything else ... see what you think? Thanks for listening and for any comments! :-)

EDIT: I realised, this morning (20 February 2023), on listening back with a fresh head, that there were FAR too many errors in the Guitar 3 part. So, I've decided to remove it altogether, and remix, so as to give the piano center stage, instead. If you have time and the inclination to, see what you think? Really and truly sorry - I should have noticed the errors before posting.

I immediately thought of the Queen song but this is another animal entirely.
Lovely.

Hey 17, a soothing instrumental with an unpredictable (for me) chord progression which gives it charm.

Pure Band in a Box.

Very pretty!

But between the unexpected chords and lack of obvious structure, I felt a bit like I was watching a film where I had somehow lost the plot and was unsure what was going on.

But still... very pretty. smile

Thanks, everyone. You're all far too kind.

Lesson to self: NEVER mix at 10 o'clock in the night. David Cuny is spot on ... there were too many errors, and ALL of them in the solo guitar part ... so I've removed that, and changed the mix around a little, to give the piano more prominence. If you have time to give it a second listen, see what you think now? Thanks - really sorry about this!
Lovely parade of beautiful and sometimes unexpected chords. The tune has tender and majestic moments, just like love of your life should have. Sounds like you are playing yourself, because that BIAB piano shouldn't be able to play every wild idea you feed to it, but magically it does laugh

Janne
James,

The mix sounds good.
This sounds like a backing track as opposed to an "instrumental" - more about the chord changes than any kind of melody.
Still.. it does contain your "signature sound"...

fj
Janne ... thank you :-) Yes, the BIAB piano is great, right? That's why I brought it a little more forward in the mix :-) You got my track, and what I was trying to do with it, haha ... thank you!

floyd: I was hoping that the top line of the track would act as a "melody" of sorts ... I might write something on top to do so, if that didn't come through. In any case, thanks for listening and for the kind comment :-)
