Very convenient via my FTP software.

Not what I think is called a blind link. New term mentioned below.

Is this maybe not verboten, but not the norm for this forum ?

Some people post links to mp3 files just as you did and some people use hosting sites such as Soundcloud, Soundclick, Americansongpace, etc. The choice is easy, simply do what works best for you

My view is that using a hosting site that streams the audio offers a little bit of protection if you're concerned that someone might take advantage of your work.

Thanks for the heads up.

The sites are a little nicer to possibly get a bit
more coverage. But the extra steps, and efforts.

Right now will stick to my site.
Was concerned folks would not listen if linked like mine.

Great fun all of this is. A luxury to have retirement check comin' in

You will have some people that aren't too excited about downloading an MP3 to listen. Sometimes I do and sometimes I won't. I think a site like soundclick or soundcloud is a better way to go.

OK, point well taken, leaned towards convenience and was
maybe not wrong, but not in the groove.

After looking about a bit think Soundcloud will be the one.
