Some of you expressed an interest in hearing this song when the students performed it. This is not a select choir - it is all the school's 5th graders - 75 students, most 11 years old.

Saying Goodbye

This "Dress Rehearsal" was recorded live in a music classroom using two inexpensive MXL condensers. The BIAB backing tracks were played through a typical school music stereo and the kids sang over them. Therefore the "bleed" is quite evident. I tried my best to clean it up in Sonar afterward.

The actual performance is next week at their Promotion Ceremony. That will be in a gym over a PA system, so capturing that recording in a listenable fashion will be nigh impossible.

The performance at the Promotion Ceremony was very well received. A parent, who is also the front-man and sax player from a local band, lent his skill to endeavor. He improvised the instrumental solo. I hope to put a YouTube link up soon.
