Lovely song. Great production. Great use of BIAB. This is a really cool vibe you've captured. Super vocals and lyrics too. Makes me want to head to Caribbean Islands. Congrats!

Hi Bob,

This song has such a relaxing, calming feel to it both lyrically and musically. It was a real pleasure to listen to. I'm heading over to the repeat button.

All the best,
Noel

A nice musical journey Bob. It's the first time I've heard pedal steel, steel drums, and harmonica in the same song. Just goes to show if things are in the right proportion it works nicely.

Chris,

We lived in Miami for twenty years, and the steel drums remind me of sailing in the Gulf Stream.

Gotta love BIAB/RB!

Thanks John, and congrats on the new guitar. It's beautiful! Got to get one of those. I'm already dropping hints to the C.F.O.!

very nice work! I'd back the vocals down a little myself and maybe a tad less reverb. but the vocals completely overpower the instruments.

nice song, nice use of BIAB. which instruments/styles did you use?

Bob,
Very nice song. I should be listening lying in a hammock with a Corona.
I agree with Beagle that the vocals need to come down a few dBs.

Hi Bob,

You really captured the vibe with this song. I can almost feel the waves. Great vox - might come down a hair but not a deal breaker for me. Enjoyed it very much. What are you using for your steel drums sounds?

Well done.

Real Jimmy Buffett vibe going there. Excellent song.

Beagle,

I would tell you what BIAB styles I used, but I've forgotten how to view that info in the program. (maybe someone could tell me how that's done again?) I will effort that and get back to you.
Thanks for listening.

SD - thanks for listening and your kind comment. I am remixing it and bringing the vocal (and the verb) down a bit.

Josie,

Thanks for your kind remarks. The steel drums are from the TTS-1 in Sonar. I haven't been able to find any good SD samples, so they have to do.

very nice song, Bob! I agree with the comparison to Jimmy Buffett. And if it was your goal to create a really laid-back tune, you surely accomplished that!

Your voice is also very good... very professional.

I was particularly struck by the sound of the acoustic bass patch... what MIDI module do you use? (Did I see SD-90 somewhere?) That is the best sounding MIDI bass I've ever heard! You could even hear the strings buzzing against the neck!
