I'm still at this songwriting business, just had a long dry spell (and a hot one too) Then these lyrics were sent to me to put to music and I was so touched emotionally by these lyrics that I just had to write what I felt would carry the message in them. The lyrics were written by Wayne Stegall so the music is my only contribution. This was all done in BIAB using RealTracks. Wayne has granted me permission to post the lyrics.

I congratulate you on a fine effort. You've written a very beautiful and haunting melody. I think your choice of waltz is a terrific fit for both the sentiment of the lyrics and the melody. I'd love to hear it sung.
