Earlier this year I produced, recorded, mixed, and played guitars and mandolin on Pittsburgh singer-songwriter Kate Snow's album, A Promise and a Song. I used BIAB on every track, relying on RealDrums, RealTracks bass, piano, organ, fiddle, sax, Freddie Green guitar, and two country boogie electric guitars. I added electric and acoustic guitar parts, as well as a bit of mandolin to most of the tracks but on four songs I used only BIAB instruments.

You can listen to clips of the songs at CDBaby: http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/katesnow

Just to Love You uses 6 and 12-string RealTracks guitars and nothing else.
If Only uses Jazz RealTracks and nothing else.
Some Distant Shore uses the Prairie Pop Piano as the centerpiece of the track.

On In the Night I used two instances of a fiddle RealTracks. With the recent feature that creates different parts for two instances of the same RT, I was able to get a moody feel with the fiddle panned left and right.

I used EQ, compression, and reverb on BIAB tracks and my recorded tracks when I mixed.

I am very proud of the album and how polished it sounds. Kate, who is learning BIAB, was skeptical at first but once she heard the arrangements she was very pleased.

I gave a few of the clips a listen. Everything sounds great. Nice use of BIAB.
