Lyrics

Come with me to Orkney
Green Islands in the sea
A timeless place awaits you
And tomorrow you'll be free

Dance with me in Orkney
At the closing of the day
Watch a blazing sunset
And dance the night away

A new day here in Orkney
Will fill your heart with peace
You can be quite certain
Your cares and worries all will cease

Instrumental

Dance with me in Orkney
At the closing of the day
Watch a blazing sunset
And dance the night away

Sing the songs of Orkney
Hear the fiddles Play
Watch the seabirds soaring
And toss all your cares away

Instrumental

Dance with me in Orkney
At the closing of the day
Watch a blazing sunset
And dance the night away

Come with me to Orkney
Green Islands in the sea
A timeless place awaits you
And tomorrow you'll be free

Thanks in advance for taking a listen.

Regards
George

Great Dance beat, would never had dreamed it could fit
this type of song.

The lyrics are simple but fit the song great.

My monitor system Sub is a bit hot, maybe tiny bit lower
on bass/drum.

Fun music, can just see groups of folks with beers in hand
dancing about.

I've only been to U.K. one time, Upper Heyford, Cambridge doing the
pub rounds. then 36 hours in London. Just a tease. 1965, just few years
ago.

Thanks for sharing your neighbors lyrics, and your hard work!

Hi Seeker,

I wanted to write a song that was out-with my normal scene.
I wanted people to dance and have fun.
I know that the bass and drums are a little hot, but, isn't that what is popular today?

Anyway, I thank you for your comments.
If you ever get to Scotland you will enjoy your visit (no need to go on pub crawl)

Best regards
George

George,

That is true. I have kicked up bass in my songs after
listening to a lot of others wit heavy bass.

It is a great fun and dance song, hope you can play it at one
of your pubs.
