I'm Your Man

©2013 Robert Randall Burke

If you ever need someone to hold your hand
If you need someone who's gonna understand
Or you need someone to be your biggest fan
Just call on me, baby,
I'm your man.

If the big bad world has got you down
And you ain't got a friend anywhere in town
When you're losin' the race, runnin' fast as you can
Call on me, baby,
I'm your man.

I'm your man with a shoulder you can cry on
I'm your man with a love you can rely on.

Solo

I'm your man with a shoulder you can cry on
I'm your man with a love you can rely on.

Oh Man, I was brought up on this stuff!!
I forsook British "pop" in the 60's for Motown and American RnR and this kind of song is the reason why!
Excellent!
And what a Solo!! How many Re-gens to get that!!! Fabulous!!
cheers

Hey Bob,

Yet again you step into the unpredictable with your music! I love the feeling "I wonder what I'm going to hear today" when I click on your posts. This song was an excellent listen. It's very creative and very good. Your performance sounded comfortable and extremely competent. As always, I've come away from Soundclick feeling very impressed. Does Florida Mowtown = Flowtown? Could be a whole new genre in the making

Regards,
Noel

Nice song and well done. Good mix, good vocal. Like the sax solo and the way you used the horn section.

Robert Randall Burke,

You are one hell of a songwriter. (Who IS doing every genre ever defined!!!). Great production, too - I thought you may have played that sax yourself....

Hi Bob.

Just like Ian Sixchannel, I was brought up on this stuff. In the part of the world where I live it's what's called "Northern Soul" and you do it perfectly.

Great song, great vocals, great arrangement and give that bass player a bonus!

Floyd,

Thanks for the kind remarks. I wish I could play the sax - there ain't nothin' like a wailin' sax.

Bob

Thanks Rog,

That RT bass player is like having James Jamerson playing on your tracks.
