I love writing parts for instruments although biab has spoiled me since pg went real tracks; there is not a need to very often. One of my goals for the 5090 songwriters challenge this year was to do more programmed music. The drums are the only real instrument, the rest are midi.

I used the real drums from biab. I also programmed using band in a box. What I did was load a style the Vangel style from which the song gets it's name. I then froze all the tracks and then deleted the notes and program info.

I started with the bass line, then wrote the piano part; next was the choir voices, then the pizzicato strings; the final part was the string section. I then made a midi file of each part and took it into reason to get a better quality sound. It is an orchestral piece, all feedback is welcome.

Hi Robert,

Very inventive. I don't recall having heard a programmed instrumental from you before. I enjoyed the listen! It's good to see that MIDI still has a place in making music smile

All the best,
Noel
