Hi Herb

I love this kind of music. The mandolin was especially enjoyable. Very nice

Scott: Thanks for listening. I've had a "love/hate" relationship with bluegrass throughout the years. A lot of my friends are into it and as I grow older I'm liking it a bit more than I did back in my 20's and 30's.

My band played some country with rock and won a battle of the bands. The owner of the venue hired us probably because we had a monster of a PA and he needed it for his bluegrass festival. So we hung out for 3 days with bluegrass folks.... I was so sick of BG by that Sunday morning....

Herb, Good job bringing the soloists in and out, that can get a little tricky at times. It's amazing how good the acoustic instruments sound in BIAB. This is a good example of what can be done with a simple chord progression and some expert editing. Nicely done, Tom

I really appreciate the comments folks... thanks

Nice mellow bluegrassy lullaby with a crisp and fitting mix. My only suggestion would be to use a bass fiddle instead of the electric. The electric sounds a bit "poppy" to me and a "fat" acoustic bass would really fit well with the vibe....but I'm heavily biased as an upright picker.

Regardless, it's an impressive display of the use of realtracks!

Janice & Bud and Dani: Thanks... I'm impressed as well when I listen to the real tracks on my studio system..... amazing!! I LOVE it...

This actually has a drum track and electric bass.... the drums are low and the bass.....well I guess I could easily switch it out.... I might just do that and repost the remix...

Thanks PG... what I call "creative editing" in Sonar. With a slight overlap of the parts.

Hi Herb,

I don't know how I missed this one. It's a great listen! You've produced a really professional, first class sound with this. I have to hand it to you, you've assembled the Realtracks very adroitly.

Excellent work!

Thank you Noel

A good mix of realtracks producing a tune with a lovely melodic theme. I find the editing of realtracks tedious but your song shows that the effort is most certainly worth it.

I love this this is what I am aspiring to be able to do!! What are you using for a DAW....power tracks? I am new to all this so forgive me if I seem a bit slow on the understanding of how it all works.
Posted By: Guitarhacker Re: New Grass Lullabye - 12/22/13 12:32 AM
Thanks Wade... I use Sonar X1 as the DAW.

Herb, I'm a glutton for Dobro, mando, and fiddle. Here you are serving up all three, a musical smorgasbord. Beautifully done. Thanks for sharing.
