Dear Forum Friends,
Greetings! As I mentioned previously, I completed the Berklee School of Music Songwriting course online through Coursera.org over the summer. It was a great experience and I learned a lot. As part of the course you're required to write songs and song fragments to demonstrate concepts. I wrote this song using one of the writing assignments as a start.
I always admired the selfless nature of the American patriots of the past and present and hope we always answer the "Patriot's Call"
Enjoy.

Hi!

As a retired Army NCO and disabled Vietnam Vet, I say thanks! We always appreciate when someone extends their kindness and thanks to us.

Excellent song...prosody was perfect. Your voice fit it very nicely. Thanks again! Best to you...

Scott, Guenter, Gruverider, Josie, Al&Di,
Thanks so much. I'm glad you liked it. I've been learning a lot from all of you. I'm glad it shows.

Al&Di,
I know a number of us are vets and military retirees. I always try to say thanks to those who served, but I hoped to recognize patriots in the broader sense in this song. Police, firemen, teachers, community volunteers and anyone who puts service to nation before self are tops in my book.

SD, This is a nice tribute to all those that serve us. I liked the drum and piano parts. I also liked the lyrics. Thanks for posting. Tom

Dani, Tommy,
Thanks for listening. I glad you liked it. It took a while to figure out how to do the snare drum. Finally decided midi was the best way to go.
Cheers
