I used Band in a Box to help me make this demo for my bossa style song "Bossa Para Flauta"

RealTracks in style: ~~717:Bass, Acoustic, Samba Ev 190
RealTracks in style: ~1104:Guitar, Nylon, Rhythm BossaGrooveComp Ev 140
RealDrums in Song: BossaThenSwing^1-a,b:Bossa Sticks
RealDrums in Song: SalsaBolero: a: SalsaBolero b: SalsaBolero

I used my Roland V-Drums for additional drums and percussion sounds.

Live acoustic shaker.

I played my Yamaha MO-8 keyboard for the lead flute, electric piano, and the electric piano solo.
Also used the MO-8 for bass overdub during the bridge section

Garritan Personal Orchestra for strings.

That's me on vocals.

DAW is Cubase.

Bossa Para Flauta

Peace!

Sounds great to me!! Such a sweet and pleasant ride! Could be great soundtrack music, but holds its own without any video accompaniment. Great work!! Take care. Greg

Excellent balance on the mix.

Rob

What a great arrangement. This is simply a fantastic number, every part works perfectly. Kudos to you.

This could easily be Bob James, Dave Benoit, Spyro Gyra or any of the masters. You should definitely take a bow.

Thanks for sharing

Cheers

Rob, this is a fantastic pro sounding track! You should be very proud of this one.

Great flute sound! You can really play the MO-8!

Rob, in addition to agreeing with the other posters I would like to add that I enjoyed your arrangement. The chord selections and movements between phrases are very tastefully executed. I think you held true to the style while adding a refreshing new sound in the instruments used to solo.
Very good song. I would like to hear more of this.

I'm a fan of Pat Metheny especially his Still Life Talking album and this would fit right in! And your vocal really punctuated the sounds from that record to me.

Beautifully done!

Brudda' brudda', brudda'! OOO-ooo, man, 'dat samba sound, it make me feel so-o-o happy, don'cha know. Make me wan' dance, man!

I'm clowning with the dialect (more West Indian than Brazilian, huh?), but I hope what I wrote communicated the grinning dee-light I experienced listening to your composition.

I am old enough to remember when the samba-bossa nova-fusion hit the U.S. w-a-y-y-y back in the early 60's and perked-up my ears and my heart. I felt instantly that it was the music of my soul. You captured it wonderfully and added your own "smooth jazz" feel to it.

What's more amazing is how you captured the sound of a flautist's performance using a keyboard. If you had not indicated that, I'm telling you right now I would have believed that is was an actual flute being played.

Also, being the lover that I am of Claus Ogermann's gorgeous contributions to Antonio Carlos Jobim's albums, I felt that your strings arrangement really set sail over your mix. I'm glad I visited the user forum today!

Excellent. Couldn't help thinking how cool this song would sound back in the days of vinyl playing on a high end system. Sonic heaven.

Masterful job.
