Rob wrote the music and most of the lyrics and asked me for some help writing the chorus and for some vocals. Rob also did the fine mixing.

Some Will Make It (posted 18/07/2014) Written by Rob Meulman, and Lawrence Olivier

It's in the way you touched my hand, like you needed me
And in the way your words will roam, deep inside of me
With all the things we were getting through
He took his chance and conquered you

Chorus
Some will fold, they just can’t take it
Some will deny, and try to fake it
Some will cry, but they can’t shake it
But in the end love, some will make it

Love was new and love was wild, when you needed me
We spent the days, embraced the nights, for all the world to see
Nothing ever could go wrong
Back in the days when we belonged

Chorus

You talk but you're not really here, lost in promises
Just an echo of the past, that’s all there is
And as your brand new day rolls in
Where on earth should mine begin

Chorus

Nice production. I especially liked The change up on verse 2 as far as guitar rhythm, and the nice decrescendo coming back down out of the guitar solo (that solo style fit so good) and the ending with vocal harmonies and guitar soloing behind it was a good high point dynamically. Well done.
First rate production on this one. Nice song.

Nicely reflective verses and love the chorus. Nice write Laurence and Rob. The backing is very supportive of the lyrics. It all works for me. Cheers.
"And as your brand new day rolls in
Where on earth should mine begin"

Nice.

A cool collab, guys. Good everything - vocals, instruments, mix..

"It's in the way you touched my hand, like you needed me
And in the way your words will roam, deep inside of me"

... a terrific beginning.

Enjoyed it.

Hi Rob and Lawrence,

a great collab. Very nice contrast of your voices.
Especially liked the harmony parts.
Good arrangement and mix.

HI Lawrence and Rob.
Nice collaboration. Nice write. Isn't this forum a wonderful place? The vocals blend very nicely.
It's not often when I hear an intro and am drawn in. I'm usually just waiting for the verse to start, but this song starts with such a nice musical texture-the guitar and drums weave beautifully together. And, from there, what can I say? The level is maintained. Excellent vocals, production, writing.....the whole nine! I also love the way you alternated the verse/chorus vocals (which were great!). The song sounds like both of you, and it is a great combination. I always wondered what Rob was doing with all his spare time since he and Anne Marie are only posting about one song per week. Stop slackin' Rob!! Great work! Take care. Greg
Rob and Lawrence, This is a great collab. Great production and fabulous vocals. Very well done. Can't wait for the next one. Tom

Greg, The music and the lyrics are very complementary. And Rob is very prolific, isn't he. Thanks
Nice job guys. Little Boston or old Journey happening with the two male vocs. I like it.
Nice job on this. Love those Brent solo's.....

I thought the song was a bit long but hey, it is what it is. I like the song.
Really nice sounding contrast between the vocals. Both of you have good voices to listen to but together it's a whole different level.

Excellent arrangement and professional sounding mix.

Great job guys.
Outstanding song in every area; thanks for sharing!
RobbMiller, thanks for listening. Funny that you mention Journey because I told Rob I thought there was a bit of Journey in the song too.
