Lyrics:

Can you still see me

walk on by it's like forever
city lights seem to fade right out of view
was so nice just to be with her
now she's gone simply vanished from your life

can you still see us
the way we flew by
can you still feel us now
we just hit the ground

was an awfully wrong trail
just like the ones before
memories even remain
recall the love in pain

step right up with rage and laughter
everything that you fear is coming your way
looking for someone to run to
anyone anyplace it's all the same

can you still see me
the way I flew by
can you still hear me now
that I hit the ground

was an awfully long trail
like it was before
memories somehow remain
recalling love in pain

I mutter as the rain falls
weaving old memories in time
I stumble in the nightlife
welcome whatever comes my way

can you still see us
the way we flew by
can you still feel us now
we just hit the ground

was an awfully long trail
just like the ones before
memories somehow remain
recalling love in pain

Nice work Rob and Anne-Marie! I love the modulation into the chorus, it's just so right. Excellent vocals also.

This sounds like something from the mid 1960's, which BTW is one of my favorite music periods!

Everything about this is professional, great mix, vocals, chord progression, and lyrics.

Given my very junior status on this forum and my early state of mixing experience, I have little confidence to offer meaningful comment concerning that. However I DO know what I like to listen to, and this would be IT! West Coast indeed. Way to wail on it!

Rob & Anne-Marie,

Another fantastic song in your catalog. Your writing, production and performance are always top shelf. We have nearly exhausted ourselves of superlatives to review your music. Great song and impeccable delivery. Very well done, indeed! Kudos to both of you ...

Not surprisingly, another great job!! Very well put together in every way. Great vocals. Love the Wurly, and the solo guitar worked great as well. Is that a real track or played by you? Another stellar job!! Take care. Greg

Wow. That was excellent. Top notch arrangement and execution. The solo sections really balanced well with your vocal sections. Everything was excellent.

Well done! Smooth and engaging. I like the breakdown in the bridge, and the harmonies are once again tops.

(In my headphones the Soundcloud mix "leans" to the left and there is a phase-y artifact to it. I checked it twice and compared it to the video version.)

much enjoyed!

Thanks Charlie, John, Mario, George, Alan & Di, Dani, Josie, Greg, Floyd, Robert, Alyn, Patrick, Noel, Lawrence and Guenter for all this positive feed back on our song.

Greg: the solo is a real track: 2202 country crossover brent sw 16 075

Lawrence: You're right about the mix panning. In my recordings the left channel tends to dominate. I've noticed this before in previous recordings. Has probably something to do with my sound card. I will check this out.

We very much like the feel of this. It reminds us of some of the best 60's productions from the UK. Outstanding vocals!
