Super Moon

You are on vacation/holiday, laying on the beach watching the super moon slowly rise above the ocean horizon.

The style I used was Orchestral 9/8. I deleted the drum and French Horn parts. The string pad parts are verbatim from BiaB. The acoustic bass was changed to a double bass.

I am playing the English horn, vocal pad lead, French horn, and the string melody on my wind controller. I wrote the drum parts.

What do you think?

A great listen, Mario!

Very cinematic. A cool, dramatic build.

So... "the rest is BIAB"? Doesn't seem like ya left much for him to play. A man of so many talents.

Well done.

Beautiful music!! Really powerful. I would put more verb on the English horn. Really wonderful stuff!! Great job. Take care. Greg

Mario
You use "BITM" with the aid of BIAB. You are the "Band in the man"
that is beautiful close your eyes and you are there!

Hi Mario,

Beautiful music.
We picture big Roman armies, coming up on the hills by moonlight.
Indeed, this would do quite well in a movie.

Hi, Mario !:))

I´m a little late to
the table but this is
just super Mario !:))
Have been planning on
moving to Spain during
wintertime and can easily
see this moon there rising
up over the Mediterranean sea !

Cheers
Dani

PS

Yes, this really sounds like film music !!!

This is a fine example of one more aspect of what one can do with BiaB and imagination.

Nice crescendo and cymbal crashes ....timpani.... wow, impressive... didn't like the straight up drums since they were kind of anti-climatic after the timpani....ahh but you came back to the timps in the end.....

Very nice.

First I apologize for not being here more often lately. Life has been very hectic lately with my wife having a small health problem. Hopefully I will get a chance to get back here very soon.

Second I wish to thank all for listening and the very nice comments.

A number of listeners suggested that the song would sound better without the drum kit. So here is the same version sans the drum kit.

Mario,
Absolutely stunning! Thanks for sharing.
I really sympathize with the hectic life issue. Can you imagine what we can do if we had more time to make music? What a dream that would be!

First, I hope you wife is improving from her health issue.

Being a local living near the South Carolina coast means I don't have to be on holiday to embrace the beauty of a super moon over the ocean. Earlier this summer, my wife and I got to enjoy a super moon over the ocean and the beauty was quite breathtaking.

I have listened to your song several times now and just noticed this morning I had failed to comment. Truthfully, you set the stage in your comments to guide me toward thoughts of reliving the sight of that super moon creating images in my mind that I literally forgot to post a comment.

This is one of the few songs I've come across that I have not at some point concentrated on the production aspect but simply return for another listen, set back and enjoy the work.

"Cinematic" is a good word.

Can picture the nature experience. Good job!

I want to thank Eric, SpaceDog, Charlie, and Plish for listening and the very nice comments.

Charlie thank you. My wife is getting better. A number of years ago she fell twice and had 10 stitches in one knee and 12 in the other. Now she is having problems big time, but after doctors, specialists, shoe inserts and physical therapy she is coming along very nicely. The problem was not only going to all of those appointments I had to do the outside choirs she normally did like weeding the gardens as well as help her around the house. Busy as a bee I was. Now I am trying to catch up on the songs I missed.
