eric...

Cool song. And, yes... beautiful tone.

But what impresses me most is how LYRICAL your playing is!

You make that guitar SING!

The sax is a perfect match for your guitar playing. What RT is it?

And I have always wondered.... what is f.m.m. ?

Enjoyed!

Floyd said it all in those few words. Being a guitarist by trade, I (Alan) always key into that instrument. And as Floyd said, your notes almost sing lyrically. What a pleasure to listen to! Soothing and relaxing. That was great several minutes. Thanks for the terrific listen! Best to you, Eric ...

Excellent guitar tone and chops! Would you mind sharing the info on how you achieved that tone?

This song flows like a slow river, nice and even. Super mix also.

I really like this!

PS - I would cut that 2+ minutes of silence at the end of the song off.

Yes, definitely a great guitar sound!
Considering most of the tracks are Midi, a great overall sound too!
Keep up the good work!

Rob

It's all been said. The tone grabs you first and then it is soooooo melodic.

Nice production to go along with it also. WTG!

thanks sundance for the kind words eric

Nice introduction - it's different enough to hook me into the song.

Minor nits - the mix seems loud, and the closing with the sax seemed to sort of wandered away.

But still, a good listen.

Very cool instrumental and as everyone says, a sweet tone and lovely, flowing playing style on that guitar. Really nice.

I assume that what you did with MIDI tracks was import them to your DAW (Reason?) and map sampled instruments to them there, right? As opposed to using RealTracks exported as audio from BIAB to the DAW. Of course that's what we had to do all the time before BIAB had RT (I started in 2001 I think).

You can get very cool things that way, but it seems to me that often the MIDI tracks don't have as natural dynamics as RealTracks, even though they do contain velocity info, presumably performance captured (at least the SuperMIDI tracks are performance captured, right?). On the right channel there's an arpeggiated guitar part that I assume came from MIDI, and it just seemed very repetitive to me, and distracting for this -- of course now you're going to tell me that it wasn't MIDI at all, you PLAYED that part, and I'm a complete idiot smile

Just a small thing. There are a lot of great MIDI tracks, more than there are RealTracks, and this is a really cool song.

Thanks for sharing,
Bruce
