Hello everyone,

This is our new song:

To the Bone

We think this one has a 'Byrds' feel to it. Well that's mainly because of the 1030 12 string electric real track.
Rob added it in the final stage of the song.
We had some footage left of our trip to London, and decided to put it in.

Song specifics:

Style is _M16SELC.STY (Med.Pop16s wEl.Guit&Piano[110RS])

Lyrics:

City streets in front of me
Every light is calling your name
With the edgy words you said to me
Half of me is wandering in pain

Ooh that smile on your face
And ooh that fire in your eyes

I remember you say I will never let go
Though I'm draining your love to the bone
And suddenly it seems I've been waiting too long
With all of my freedom long gone

Petty things and precious hopes
Lovely nights fly out of the door
Your piercing eyes will follow me
They hunt me down wherever I go

Ooh that mind rages on
And ooh that voice tears me down

I remember you say I will never let go
Though I'm draining your love to the bone
And suddenly it seems I've been waiting too long
With all of my freedom long gone

Ooh that smile on your face
And ooh that fire in your eyes

If I'm leaving this town, don't know where I will end
Trying fiercely to leave things behind
And someday I'll find there is no love to deny
It would always come down to a lie

Fantastic job!! Really nice, and as always, interesting music. Production is killer. Solo works perfectly. I also love the 12 string electric. My next post is a song that uses that, as well as my last post. It has a great sound. This song is very cool! Take care. Greg

That 12 string really adds a nice texture. Really nice footage of London at night too - the opening shot of the ferris wheel in the skyline is so pretty.

Enjoyed this song very much. Wonderful production and vocals by you both.

Hi Rob and Anne-Marie ...

great song! You guys always have some of the best music on these boards. There are a lot of very talented people here and you two rate at ot near the top with your great songs and superb production.

We loved the song. That 12-string electric is a winner. I (Alan) used to have but no longer do. You're making me think about it!!!! Super nice! best to you ...

Also, in a couple of hours, maybe earlier, we're gonna post Di's first song since her stroke last month. We wrote and recorded it this afternoon ... about 6 hours total.

Thank you Josie!

Those 12 string real tracks are one of the best in the program.
It's always convenient to have some holiday footage to spare, haha.
Next year will be going to Berlin, and when we get back will probably have even more footage.

Regards,
Rob

Rob and AM, This has a really nice chord progression. The vocal has a Moody Blues feel to me. That's a good thing. Good mix and production. I enjoyed it. Tom

Anne-Marie and Rob

London lookd great at night, was Anne-Marie the face over the words "Ooh that smile on your face, And ooh that fire in your eyes" and what a wonderful effect Anne-Marie, you are a good video producer.

Wonderful song, up to your usual high standards

Rob and Anne-Marie,

I want to rave about this song, but I just called the superlative bank, and they said I'm overdrawn. ;(

But seriously... didn't you two maniacs just post a mega-production?? How could have something this good ready so soon?

I must say, you have a real feel for writing compelling relationship-based pop-songs. ALL of your stuff sounds marketable to me. They're all so good I find myself wishing for a generic reply so I don't have to keep thinking up new ways to say what a good job you both do on these productions.

The particulars have already been stated very well... it's a great chord pattern, your harmonies are always PERFECT and the lyrics are especially interesting to me because they almost always have an appeal to both genders. Do you collaborate on lyrics? Each of you making slight changes in order to solidify the impact with your own gender? Or are you really that intuitive about how to say exactly the right things?

Hi Alan and Di,

Thanks for all these compliments.
Yes, the 12-string is lovely here.
And not having a 12-string is no problem.... we don't have it either. That's why we have Biab! laugh

I agree with Tom re the Moody Blues feel and
also agree that is a good thing. I like the electric
12 string. I saw the Byrds several times back
in the day and have always liked that sound.

Per your high bar everything sounds extremely
well produced on my KRK's.

Congrats on another fine tune.
