Lyrics:
SHOW THE WAY (by Dani) Dani Lindroos © 2014
I am bound to wander
to wander again
I´m on the road
with all my load
of sorrow and pain
and this road to somewhere
is winding and long
but still I know
that where I´ll go
you´ll be in my song
all along
I can see you before me
wherever I´ll stray
you´re like a star
shining so far
to show me the way
show the way
show the way
show the way for me
home to stay
soon I´m gonna be
I can see you before me
wherever I´ll stray
you´re like a star
shining so far
to show me the way
show the way
…….fade away
Cheers
Dani
We're gonna have to nick name you Strummin' Hank if you keep this up. Another fun tune done in a style so unique. You make this a fun forum. Enjoyed the song.
Charlie
Dani,(Strummin' Hank)
I don't know what to say, because every song you produce is Dani. As Charlie says you are unique in your style and I enjoy listening to your songs so much.
You are a star!
Alyn
This reminded me of Eddie Arnold and some of the country crooners of the early 60's. Due to the musical style and the chord changes.
Nicely done including the faded ending.... that was used a lot in that time period.
Dani...
Good one! I really like this.
A good write, a good mix and nice selection of instruments.
Sweet vocal and harmonies. Wonderful melody.
My favorite.
floyd
Hi Dani,
nice lyrics and arrangement.
And the fancied Dani vocals and harmonies.
Also the chord changes as a distinctive feature.
Enjoyable listen.

As soon as this song started I thought Eddie Arnold but Guitarhacker beat me to it!
Nice mix, vocals, harmonies and backing tracks so what is not to like with this one?
Super song Dani!
Really pretty!! One of your catchiest melodies to date. You are not the conventional country singer but your vocal works great on this. Another great tune!! Take care. Greg

You are all too kind,
but I do appreciate your
kind words very much !:))

Dani
Dani, I like the melody and the vocals. You are starting to get the hang of the genre. Nice fadeout. Good job! Tom
Hi Dani,
A nice song (but we like "You're making me feel so fine" better).
Good backing vocals!
Rob and Anne-Marie

Nicely done including the faded ending.... that was used a lot in that time period.
my thoughts exactly... and maybe even a little into the 70's with artists like Glenn Campbell
Dani... nice job! Keep 'em coming!
Hi, Tommy !:))
...and big thanks for your
most kind words really very much
appreciated !:))
Cheers
Dani
Hi, Rob and Anne-Marie !
LOL, yeah I like that
one better too, but you see,
I somehow felt obliged to
do something that maybe
reminded us of country at
least a bit ? !!!
Thank you both for your
most kind words and comments !
Cheers
Dani
Hi, Pat !:))
Well, Pat, I am sure
it is as you say though
I have never heard Eddie
Arnold before (now I have
listened to him on Utube)!!
Glenn Campbell, what a fine
singer/player !!! I guess
he is much remembered for
Galveston, Wichita Lineman
and likewise unbeaten evergreens ?
I have also admired him in "True Grit" that
I have made a cover version of
somewhere !!
Gracias Pat por tus palabras agradables
y amiables !:))
Cheers
Dani
