Every ring (of a telephone)

Tekst ยง muziek: Fredden

All in all I know it's wrong to be your man
And I'll run from this illusion if I can
But every ring of a telephone... every ring of a telephone...
Every ring of a telephone is yours

This old heart has served me well though I gave it no rest
But right now I feel it beating its way out of my chest
And every sound of an opening door
Is like the sound of your bedroom door
Every ring of a telephone is yours

I'm getting out! Help me please
just feel I can't control myself anymore

But I know I love you more than ever before
There's no place that I could run to anymore

And every song on the radio
every sound of an opening door
Every ring of a telephone is yours

I'm getting out! Help me please
just feel I can't control myself
Love me please, woman
Love me please, woman
Love me please woman
Yeah

After many years, and after losing my lovely wife to cancer, I rebooted my music career. So here we are, 27 years later,

Surely I will be a little rusty :-)

So this is the first of the "memoires" project; songs written between 1975 and 1987

Fred,

Welcome to the forum!

That is a heck of a first post. Well put together.

The mix sounds good - nicely balanced between instruments. The fiddle could be panned slightly to one side (it sounds like it's centered) and pan the guitar lead/fills to the other side slightly - give them a bit of space...

A very nice vocal - sitting in the mix right where it should.

I enjoyed it. It has a good energy (especially the chorus!) Look forward to hearing more.

This is a nice song. I liked the melody. I agree with Floyd you've got a good handle on the mix and I thought you made good choices on the instrumentation. Thanks for posting and I'm looking forward to hearing another from you soon.

Hi Fred ...

Welcome to the PG Showcase Forum!

This is a real nice first post. Your vocal is great and your music track selection is very good, too. based on what I've read in the comments, it seems you've made a few changes ... and they sound terrific!

We enjoyed this very much. Hope to hear a lot more from you real soon.

Fredden,

That song, for a first post, is an excellent way to make me want to hear more.
I can only echo what the others have said before me.
