Scott,

I was hooked from the 1st note to the last chord.

Beautiful.

Scott, I particularly liked the vibrato. It gave it a bit of a western movie theme sound. I like how you are using more melody in your last few posts. Very enjoyable listen. Tom

Hi Scott,

nice relaxing song. Gives me the vibe of the Shadows, Ventures and Tornados. Only the cello doesn't fit in that sound, although it's a nice track for itself.
Enjoyable listen.

Thank you Josie, Alyn, Rec, Tommy and Guenter.

Tommy my wife also commented that she thought it sounded like the theme from a Clint Eastwood "Duster" :-)

Guenter yes I agree about the cello. I had been adding cello to my songs from my synthesizer in the past but when I saw it the list of the new real tracks temptation took over. :-)

Very nice, very mellow. You're getting a great tone from the guitar. Enjoyed this.

Cool melody with a sixties feel

Nice... I get a "westerns" vibe in places too.

I'd back the guitar down a few db... it's overpowering the other tracks. When you do back it off, pull some mids out of it (the guitar) and give it a slight (ever so slight) high end boost to let it cut through the band tracks and still keep it's rightful place in the spotlight.

good job. just a minor fix to nail it.

Herb thanks for the tips on the mix. I will add the suggested tweaks to the mix..

Kicking off the BIAB 2015 with a good one!! Nice, melodic guitar tune and great playing! A pleasure to listen to. Take care. Greg

Now that was enjoyable. Yeah, reminds me of some
of the themes to 1970's westerns -- and that's not
a bad thing at all. Fun listen all the way around!

Hi, Scott !:))

I listened to this tune earlier
and was about to comment and
then something distracted this
old man from the business and so
I forgot to do what I was about
to do !! This, my friend, has to do
with aging........but I won´t
forgive myself !!! Anyway, it is good
to go a few times thru all posts
and so I came around to yours again !:))
You know, Scott, I really liked this tune
and thus I am so glad I could tell you this !
I love your sweet guitar playing being only
a rhytm guitarrist myself !:))
If I could envy anything in this world
it would probably be all you wonderful
lead guitarrists !!!:))

Have A Really Sweet And Merry Christmas
and A Most Creative New Year !!!

Cheers
Dani

Dani thanks again for the kind words. I like to go through all the posts as well. There is so much to learn here. The positive and constructive input to everyone's songs are a huge benefit to myself as well as others I think.

I started out about 40 years ago as a Rhythm guitarist in a high school band. I always wanted to be able to play lead but life got in the way and I quit playing all together. So about 5 years ago I decided to revisit the guitar. I subscribed to quite a few instructional sites and eventually could play some basic scales. One downside to waiting so long to start playing again is I developed a wicked stage fright. I find it absolutely impossible to play in front or for anyone. My hands turn to mush... BIAB has made playing an absolute joy.. I remember the first song I posted about three and a half years ago. I didn't sleep that night thinking my song was going to be completely rejected. Everyone was so welcoming and gracious. Confidence is slowly growing..

Merry Xmas to you and your family and Happy New Year.

hey! This almost slipped by me! Glad I caught it before it got away!

This reminds me of an Asian adaptation of a Ventures tune. This sort of instrument combination and style is actually almost a cultural cliche in Asian pop music. Next time you eat in a Chinese restaurant that plays music, pay attention, and I bet you'll hear something very similar to this!

I say that affectionately because I listen to Asian pop all the time and it's one of my favored genres.

I like this song a lot. You covered all the bases. I especially like the exchange between the guitar and the cello. And yeah, the tremelo worked out very well! And the chord progression was perfect for introducing that haunting melody line!

It also kind of reminds me of the South American guitar players "Los Indios Tabaharas"

Good to hear your first 2015 production! Keep 'em coming!

Could do with some of that on my tracks!

Great, although the vocals were really quiet? laugh

Love those clear clean sounds and logical phrasing.
Wouldn't get stage fright if I could sound like that!
Cheers.

Pat thanks for the nice comments. I enjoy reading your posts and the learn allot from the detailed comments you make about the songs. It is interesting you find an Asian twist in the music. I like playing with odd time signatures. I was quite suprised that someone had thought on one of my previous songs that my song sounded "New Wave" . It is amazing where one can go starting out with a few chords, add a style and boom you are on your way. It is so much fun....

Paul thanks for the kind words. Yes I agree the lyrics have been a little light lol.

Richard thanks for your excellent comments. They are appreciated.

This was excellent! You have a great vintage guitar vibe going on here. LOVED IT!
This brought me back to my roots, i.e. The Ventures and The Shadows!

You have some very fine guitar chops so I expect some more songs like this wink
