Here is a tune I wrote that I recorded with Dan Lippert on harmonica and Dale Jernberg on harmony vocal. I used John Jarvis RT on piano, along with RT's on bass, and drums. I added guitar and lead vocal.

Hi Fred,

I've enjoyed hearing some of your folk songs. No Second Chance is a different type of tune for you and a nice change of pace.

Fred, Nicely written, sung and played. The harmonies and harp solo sound good. The mix is just right. Good job. Tom

Great work all around. Nice lyrics, nice singing, etc.

It took a while for my ears to get used to the wide pan of the instruments - guitar in one ear, piano in the other. And a bit too much ride for my ears...

Hey, I've got to complain about something. These polished songs set the bar too darned high for mortals like me! wink

Thanks for posting - I liked it a lot!

Nice lay back country feel. Harmonica fills work nice, and good lyrics.

cool groove in this one. loved the harp and the vocals. one issue to me is it seems a bit cluttered over all. A problem i seem to develop on most of my projects.

Great vibe on this one!! It all works-vocal, arrangement, instrumentation. Great job on everything! Take care. Greg

Hi Fred,

I listened to your song, and the great JJ Cale passed in front of me, alive and well!!!

Need to say that I loved it.

Productionwise the standard on this forum is so high I'm feeling quite small.

Loved it!

I have been so busy I forgot to look at the comments until today. Thanks for listening and the positive comments. I do have to watch the ride cymbals in RDs!! Rides eat up the high end of the mix.

I have recorded two songs this week for a 14-song album. I love having BIAB for my rhythm section. I did find a pedal steel part that works well, as well as a banjo.

Good lyrics and story line.
Well done.
Rob.

Hi Fred,

A hearty congratulations to you, Dan and Dale. This sounds terrific. The panning is unusual but it worked for me on my speakers.

Extremely well assembled and musicianship shines everywhere.

All the best,
Noel

You took me to New Orleans with this one somehow ( via Mobile, Alabama no less). Thanks for the ride. Pat

Thanks again for the recent comments. All credit for the piano goes to John Jarvis! Once I found that RT I knew I had the groove I was looking for.
