Hi guys. This is another one written for a Youtube video. Not listed as yet.
All comments welcome. Rob

Metal mule is an off road vehicle.

Metal Mule

Metal Mule.
Out there in the back woods fresh air is flowing free.
There aint no contradictions and no body bothers me.
I'm driving round, aint no fool to take me down.
Ive been breaking all the rules, driving round my metal mule.

Please don't ask me will I be at work on time.
Forgive my indiscretions and your business I wont mine.
My two feet steady on the ground.
Ive been breaking all the rules, driving round my metal mule.

Chorus
I may be a mountain bouncer and Ive traveled many roads.
Always shun the cities as I go.
If you dont ask me questions then you will never know.
Im out there where the Manzanita grows.

Bridge

Chorus
I may be a mountain bouncer and Ive traveled many roads.
Always shun the cities as I go.
If you dont ask me questions then you will never know.
Im out there where the Manzanita grows.

Ive done a lot of searching but what matters in the end.
I hide a mongst the shadows and to me they are my friends.
You know its true, nothing else I'd rather do.
Ive been breaking all the rules, driving round my metal mule.

So I'll just keep on bouncing from the rivers to the hills.
Ther'l be no one to mind me I'm running on free will.
The bears and trees, Always know where I will be.
I'll be breaking all the rules, driving round my metal mule.
Ive been breaking all the rules, driving round my metal mule.
I'll be breaking all the rules, driving round my metal mule.

Hi Rob,

You're a songwriting engine! It's incredible how many you manage to create while I only write a single song. I'm in awe!

I enjoyed this one. The concept of a 'Metal Mule' appealed. Clever hook!

All the best,
Noel

Rob. This has a great feel. The chorus works really well. Your mixes keep sounding better. Excellent vocals! Your best to date. Loved it. Tom

Nice, catchy toe-tapper Bob!! Your vocals are superb as usual-relaxed and natural. Good use of RTs. Fun song! Take care. Greg

Hi Bob,

Like Greg said, another nice, catchy toe-tapper. And like Noel said, you are a songwriting machine! Enjoyed it.

Hi Robert,

Definitely a catchy toe-tapper!
But this definitely is your best so far, especially the musical arrangement. Cool breaks, and very cool chorus!

Rob,
I really this one too. Great style and performance. Maybe the guitars could be brought forward a bit, especial in the short lead at 1:30.
Thanks for sharing another great tune.

Rockabilly lives!!

I'm old enough to be a fan of the first generation of rockabilly
and Rob you've got a heckuva sound going here. Love the way
those turnaround rhythms worked together so well. This
sounds like a great billy band cookin' in a small club.

And the write is a very cool theme. I've spent a lot of time
in off road vehicles but never dreamed of a song about
them.

It's all there...the mix, the write and the vocals...all is good
in metal mule land.

We love it!
