I have been absent for many months. Life gets in the way...

I wrote this song in early October, 2015. The tune and title came to me quickly and within a few hours I had the lyrics completed. It is a jaunty song remindful of the commercial folk groups that came after the Kingston Trio in the early 1960s. My thanks to Bob Moore for playing banjo and singing the harmony parts.

I used RealTracks Country Swing style and substitutes:mandolin, two identical guitars panned left and right, bass, and drums. Bob added banjo. Recorded in Logic, mastered in Sound Forge.

Shortest song I have posted.

Fred you would make the Kingston Trio proud of what you have done with this song. Nice lyrics and vocals from the both of you. Enjoyable listen.

Nice tune Fred!! I definitely hear the Kingston Trio vibe in this. It's nicely done. Simple, appropriate arrangement with nice vocal and harmony. Good job on this one! Take care. Greg

Thanks, Greg. I know Bob Shane and the current members of the Kingston Trio. They recorded tracks for me in 2012 for an album titled China Sky. I wish they would record this song.

Fred, this sounds great. The only thing I didn't like was that it was too short. Nice job. Tom
