Rasta Santa
Come to the island
When his work is done
Rasta Santa
He's always smilin'
When he sit in the sun.

Rasta Santa
Come to Jamaica
Make everytin' Irie
Rasta Santa
Big party-maker
Drinkin' rum by the sea.

When the sun go down
Over Kingston Town
All the people come out to play
Music blarin' out
Happy people shout
Rasta Santa
Don't go away!

Hey Bob

I like that. Didn't know what to expect. What a great choice of Reggae.

Your delivery is superb. Accent and all!

Dreadlocks all the way, and the sleigh-bells fading in the background - Nice

Great mix and great fun song

Bob, I have a soft spot in my heart for this type of music. I was lucky enough to have spent 6 months building a house in Negril in the early 70's. No resorts or much of anything except beach then . They had just gotten electricity the month before I got there. There was a local reggae band that let me sit in now and then. They were rhythm monsters! Nice little write and very well sung. Great job. Happy Holidays to you and yours. Tom

Ok, I will admit I passed over listening to this song for a few days, because of the title. BUT PLEASE HEAR ME OUT...it's not the the title is bad. I actually think it's GREAT! All I can come up with was the two concepts seemed so far apart to me that my simple brain didn't want to "go there." I have no idea. I will tell you flat out I am stupid sometimes. That's as blunt as I can say that!

Now, what DID get me to eventually listen to it (just now) was seeing it was from YOU. I have always liked and respected you, so because of that, I gave it a listen. I AM SO GLAD I DID!

I REALLY liked this song. It's stuck in my head right now as I'm typing this. What a cool feel, and fun song. It really is different than what I expected, in EVERY right way!

Thanks for sharing this! VERY well done!

Now I am going to work on my open-minded-ness! Gotta keep that in check so I don't lose out on gems like this one!

Most excellent all the way around. Not using the
typical Reggae drums gives it a very cool hybrid
feel.

And you DELIVERED the vocal!

Fun!

J&B,

Thanks for the listen. That actually has three separate drum tracks on it. There are two different Reggae loops behind the standard kit.

Waiting for the next I75 collab.......... grin

Bob,

Fantastic! Songwriting doesn't get any better than this - creativity, the simplicity of an expert and a great deal of skill all combined. The arrangement and production are very inventive. I totally enjoyed the listen. I bet you and Penny sound excellent live!

All the best to you both,
Noel
