Just finished scratch vocals on this last night . . .

https://soundcloud.com/user-812843012/good-news

Some production on it. Still a scratch track type of production though . . .

_RNBWRMO.Sty with an added guitar for soloist . . .

Recorded on Zoom R24 using ARC 2 room correction
- Cubase 8 Elements
WAVES Tony M plugin on drums . . . various others on other parts of the song

Rob B singing . . .

"Glory to God in the Highest
Peace on earth and good will
to all men!"

65bpm

Blessing to all of you!

Very pretty song!! If these are "scratch" vocals, I can't imagine how great the final take will be. IMO, the drums are too loud and too dry. Otherwise, everything sounds wonderful. What kind of processing did you use on the vocals? Wonderful job on this!! Take care. Greg

Even...

That is very well done!

Nice vocals. And nice production and mix.

Is the guitar lead an RT - if so, which?

I enjoyed this! Welcome to the Showcase!

Thanks Greg!

It is a scratch track so didn't worry much about levels other than obvious ones . . .

My vocal chain is basically
De-Esser - DeBreath - CLA Vocals - Vocal Rider

Blessings to you too!

Hi Floyd!

The lead is 1167.

There are a couple of ways I do leads on BIAB since "leads" are one of it weaknesses for the kind of music I write . . .

Once I get 1st phrase, I save and make new sgu . . .
I then only worry about phases I don't have that are good . . .

iow, if it is 10 bar lead, I segment and saved . . .

This happened to be about 40 regenerates and is one complete one . . . most of time I have to use 3 or 4 "partials" over the lead bars to get a full useable lead I am looking for

Blessings to you!

and yes, singer literally heard it for first time about 4 minutes before this vocal was laid . . . his harmonies were . . . Hey, let's try this!" He did a good job!

Hi ...

Welcome to the PG Music Users Showcase. Better than scratch, we would say. Nice vocal mix and the rest of the production sounds top shelf. Very nice!

Merry Christmas & God Bless ...

Even If . . . as in the following:

Daniel 3:17-18 (CJB)

Your majesty,
if our God, whom we serve, is able to save us,
he will save us from the blazing hot furnace
and from your power.

But EVEN IF he doesn’t,

we want you to know, your majesty,
that we will neither serve your gods
nor worship the gold statue which you have set up.”

Gorgeous song and great lyrics and presentation. My first impression on hearing the intro was Sheriff's "When I'm With You!"
