Hi All,
Here's a new song - somewhat of a blend of folk, vintage beatbox, and laid back RnB. The inspiration comes from an old friend with a real zest for life and moving forward.
This is called
I Can't Imagine A World Without Me.

Bob fav henceforth !!!!

Dani
Hi Bob,
interesting lyrics again.
I like the story.
Enjoyable listen.
Guenter
Bob,
This is freaking awesome man! LOVE IT. Wow, I think this one is a masterpiece. Very funny, and extremely well done. I am JEALOUS man. I wish I had written this.
Ok, I'm going back to the piano and I'm gonna do something epic now. You just wait man. I will find a way to resurrect!
Now, but seriously, the highest praise I can give is to say I wish I had thought of that hook. Superb.
It's hard to imagine this forum with you....
I like this one a lot. Good job.
Bob,
Your voice and beatbox with the arrangement sound great on this. One of the best mixes I've heard you do.
If I'd only heard this song without reading your description/setup of it first the lyrics switching from third to first person are confusing - otherwise I really like the lyrics. Option one, I think if you'd actually add "and she'd say" or "she said" at least once before your hook tagline the lyrics would be more cohesive. (Option two would be to say "her world" changing the singer to some sort of significant other.) Feel free to use or toss - just trying to be helpful.
Great sounding track.
Great Bob !
But tell me, is it the girl or you who says "I can't imagine a world whithout me" ?
Pascal
Dani, that is much appreciated - thanks!
Bob
Guenter, thanks very much.
Bob
David, LOL!
Really, thanks very much. Actually, your music is so good, it's hard not to be inspired when I hear it - you set quite a high bar...
Bob
Charlie, that's very kind of you - thanks for listening!
Bob
"Dancing next year with her friend
A blonde bombshell on the mend
She was almost like Madonna
A “Vogue” reality
I can’t imagine a world without me"
Man, there's enough great imagery in
here for three or four songs!
As always well sung, arranged and
mixed. And what a cool mix of RT's -
very creative. I'd been waiting on that
"held bass" to show up here. Very effective
use of it.
Cool and thought provoking. We much
enjoyed the spin and will be back!

Hey Josie,
Thanks - appreciate the kind words and thoughts.
When I was putting this together I almost added some additional context, but in the end settled on this version - to me it was more implied than literal. I understand it may not come across that way to everyone.
Bob
Pascal, thanks very much. It's the woman and/or the positive attitude that she projects.

Bob
Really nice. Great sound well composed & well mixed. Enjoyed all aspects of the song.
I enjoyed listening - nice groove, and I loved the sax.
Quite a departure for you Bob!! BUT a very worthwhile alternative path. Sax could not have been better if played custom. I really liked the electronic/beatbox vibe. Hear a little Lou Reed in this (maybe the sax-"Wild side"). Mix is great! Really like this!! Take care. Greg
Janice & Bud, thanks for listening and for the kind words...
Bob
Peter, much appreciated - thanks!
Bob
Pascal, thanks very much. It's the woman and/or the positive attitude that she projects.
Thank you Bob for your clear answer and sorry if my lack of practice of english make me miss out the obviousness
"She was all about the town" < cool line.
"Walking sharply west and north
Toward the Macys on 34th" <<<<< love that rhyme! and those lines...
"She was packing up boxes
And getting back on the horse" <<< nice.
Nice grouping of instrument. Original. Works well with the lyric and seems so right for it... great mix...
Well done, Bob.

David, thanks very much!
Bob
Greg, thanks - much appreciated. Believe it or not, the sax was the longest part of the project. I pieced that together from three separately generated tracks.
Thanks for the Lou Reed reference - another musical hero of mine...
Bob
Pascal, your English is just fine - thanks again.
Bob
Cool write Bob. You really have a talent for writing and you did a great job with the BIAB RTs. I enjoyed listening.
Sonny
Floyd, thanks - very nice of you to say that - means a lot...
Bob
Sonny, that's very kind of you - thanks.
Bob

Hey there rsdean,
great track, were would we be without Band In A Box, and our home studios,
I wrote this song for my wife,
I also Used Band In A Box but then transferred the audio files into Logic Pro X
to mix the song..
the Band In A Box style is Jazz Funk Breezy Rhythem {75 rs}
which was great for this song, I also added some extra BIAB tracks
acoustic gtr and synth.
you can hear the track at

I've been using BIAB since 1993, and just about every song I've ever recorded
has been with BIAB. to check out other tracks please visit

Rob and Anne-Marie, thanks so much - glad you enjoyed it.
Bob
Geir, thanks. You have some very cool songs - I like that Bee Gees sound you have... smile
Bob
Hello Bob
I think that's one of your best song.
I like the style you use used and the chord progression.
The start remembers me the beginning of B.Springsteen's "streets of Philadelphia"
Well sung.
Sergio
Loved the song...it was like Bob Dylan (your voice had that texture and nuance) meeting hip-hop with a little thematic Carly Simon "You're So Vain" crossed with the Eagles "Busy Being Fabulous"...really cool!
Dan
Hiroshi, thank you - I really appreciate that.
Bob
Sergio, much appreciated - thanks!
Bob
Dan, that's very nice of you - thanks so much.
Bob
Hi Bob.
Now I DID like that!
A hypnotic track with clever phrasing, a great vocal, a super storyline and a classic mix.
I mean, what's not to like.
ROG.
ROG, thanks so much! Appreciate the listen and kind words.
Bob
Just thought I'd put in a shameless plug for my latest CD/EP (of the same title)...
Thanks again for all the nice comments, and to PG Music for making this great technology available.
