I thought I'd give this new set my arranging treatment, with the help of BBox own song as 'template' for the test, and I have to say I'm quite pleased with the result. I give you:

Nice and relaxing indeed, Eddie!
Love it
I decided to do a better mixed version, which replaces the the built-in sound source of the melody (because I couldn't get its reverb to export properly) with a richer, more natural blend of flute & piccolo from a much higher quality source.
I replaced the link with the new one, so from here on it directs you only to the improved version.
Love the Crooners ! Nice flute and arrangement...
Nicely done.

Why, thank you. Your channel sure is impressive, so that means a lot to me.
You really captured the feel. Janice and I both very
much enjoy the big band era. This has that "classy
Ellington" feel to it.

"It don't mean a thing if it ain't got that swing!"

Can't remember who said that but it rings true.

Cool listen for both of us.

J&B
very nice composition! It has a real melody and an excellent chord progression that perfectly fits the genre!

But.. since you used the word "crooner"... that implies singing! Now we've got to convince you to add your voice next time!

Now I just had to get all nerdy and looked it up! grin
From Wiki: "Ellington credited the saying as a "credo" of his former trumpeter, Bubber Miley.", so there you have it cool

Well, the real reason I used it is because that's the name of the RT set I was showcasing. I have to admit I'm only just looking up the meaning of that word blush
I enjoyed this very much. I enjoy the crooner style as well.
Well done Icelander! I hear a Neil Hefti ("Girl Talk", "The Odd Couple") influence in there as well - which is a good thing!

No, well done YOU - You're the guys who make doing stuff like this so easy! smile

p.s. *Wow, did that just happen??*
Nice!!! Really takes you back!!

Back to well before my time, even, thanks wink

But thanks to my grandfather, I got lots of "schooling" in the Crosby & Sinatra era of music, to which I am eternally grateful cool
