Anuther Hugh Jiddyut Song, but it's only Bluegrassish, I like to call it C-Rap, part Country Sounds and Rap...... so C-Rap it is!

I'm up in da mornin at 4 am, havin my coffee, with whiskey in, feedin a hangover and the chickens, slop them hogs when they start [*****], cows need milkin, and the horse wants hay, and I need me a drink.. really need me a drink …make it a double just to make it through the day! Life on the Farm, ain't all a bed of roses. Rooster starts crowin, I'll be a moanin, the rest of them a hollerin right on que, remindin me of just what I gotta do. It's a gonna be a regular ol day…. gotta hangover that won't go away.

Got fences to mend, crops to tend, looks like work ain't never gonna end. Pick some maters dig them taters, ain't no tellin what I'll do later. cows need milkin, and the horse wants hay, and I need me a drink.. make it a double …won't be no trouble just to make it through the day! Life on the Farm, ain't all a bed of roses. Ain't no time for selfie poses, garden is dry so I roll out hoses, git to the sell barn before it closes. sell me a cow before the bank forecloses It's a gonna be a regular ol day…. gotta hangover that won't go away.

Now it's dark thirty, shower cause I'm dirty, grab my hat, still ain't that purdy, got to the bar in a big hurry, find me a gal with teeth that's pearly. Dance with me till it's time to say. Ya need you drink, I ain't that subtle, cause trouble, let's start drinkin till we both see double, carry you away out on the dance floor, till last call and they say it's time to go.
Oh how I hate Last Call
Tomorrow's Gonna Be a Regular Ol Day…. with a hangover that won't go away.

Tomorrow's Gonna Be a Regular Ol Day…. with a hangover that won't go away.
Another gem by hugh!! Guess ya done run out of Be-dulls? This is a lot of fun! Some great lyrics-I particularly liked the last verse. Keep 'em comin' Hugh! Take care. Greg
Thanks Greg!
I still have some Be Dulls in me, gonna try to get them outta there, it's starting to itch! lol Been having this music sitting around for a month, with no words, and then the lyrics hit me yesterday. Gettin a Lawyer and see if I can sue those lyrics for assault!!!! lol
Hillbilly Rap. Of course!

Needs a jug. C'mon, you know that!!

fj
I still trying to empty the jug, but that's a great idea Floyd!
Tommy,

it would be easy to breeze by these nuggets of gold because you make them seem easy... but when I stop and really listen to these I'm always very impressed!

This one in particular is a really cool combination of real tracks before you ever get to your clever lyrics! It really rocks! And I think it was a very clever idea to take this song in a C-RAP direction! (I was expecting to hear a line about shovelling the C-RAP out of the barn!)

The rhymes are a perfect match for the stuff you hear in RAP, and I thought your lyrics were really funny! I want to see the live video for this one! You need a green screen so you can video yourself singing these songs, then put crazy backgrounds behind you by swapping out the green screen.

Two thumbs up! I love it!
lol Thanks Pat! I'm gonna leave video alone, you da video man! Hint Hint!!!! lol Only took a month for the last one you did! There must be at least 3 or 4 months in a year, just guessing, might be less!

so far (at this stage of my learning curve) it takes me about a week of animation for every minute of song... so, a 3 minute song takes me about 3 weeks of prep time. That's wayyy too long, I'm just slow. It will get faster with practice.

ALL of your songs are good candidates for animation, so I'm sure we'll have more opportunities for collaboration. Right now I need to take a break from animation to prepare some live music stuff, but going forward I'd like first shot at your songs via a preview listen before you post. (Once a song has been posted, it doesn't make sense to post it again as an animation)

The ideal song is not only funny, but has interesting visual references that can be cartoonized. So far your songs have had that quality... but you are wayy faster than I am, so I could never keep up with your pace and have time for anything else too.

Returning to this song:
I thought it was interesting the way you EQ'd the vocals to give them an edgy sound. This is my new favorite TommyC song! You nailed everything about it! The instrumental track is interesting in its own right, I'd actually kind of like to hear it used in a serious song!

I have the advantage of the World's Greatest and Easiest Software! I was checking out the software you use, not sure I could ever do what you do. A song takes a few minutes to make the tracks and lyrics that take 10 to 20 minutes, mixing takes the longest, about 3 to 4 hours.

The eq is low cut at 1000 and high cut at 1100, then added guitar distortion. I learnded dat on ewe-tube! Animal sounds came from the included loops in Logic Pro 9.

Ewe Da Mang!
Funny stuff. Enjoyed it.
Thank You Charlie!!!!! grin
