THANK YOU, PETER AND EVERYONE AT PG MUSIC!

Cry, cry, cry

Cry little girl on my shoulder
Dry all your tears in my hair
Cry, cry, cry until it's empty
Cry, cry, cry all your anger and fear

Cry little boy in my arms now
Cry until the pain goes away
Cry, cry, cry until sunrise
Cry, cry, cry until the break of a new day

And the angels will sing…
And the angels will sing a lullaby

Cry dear fathers and mothers
Cry your tears of joy
Cry, cry, cry in the moonlight
Cry, cry, cry – a child is born

All the angels will sing…
And all the angels will sing a sweet lullaby

Cry your tears, dear parents
Cry your tears silent in bed
Cry for your sons and yours daughters
Cry, cry, cry – for the blood that been shed

And if the angels still sing…
And if the angels still sing – I will join the choir:

Hallelujah! – Glory to the Lord!

Cry, cry, cry in the darkness
Cry until a new song is born

Hear the angels sing:
Glory Hallelujah!

There is some REALLY cool stuff going on here. I would consider this more of a composition than a mere song, and I say that as a huge compliment.

I loved the simplicity of it. But is it deceptively simple, and moving.

Great job.

You`ve clearly put so much thought into the arrangement of this lovely song.It works beautifully as a whole with a nice build and fine harmonies at the end.
The lyrics are sincere and moving as David said - no red flags in the English for me.
Congratulations... if it does become your "best song ever" you can be proud!

This is such a great write, mix, arrangement and performance. I really enjoyed your vocals and the style you've chosen for the song. You made excellent choices for the instrumentation.

I got a feel from this as something the Moody Blues would do which is an indication this is a stellar composition.

I'll be back for several more listens.

Enjoyed this one a lot.

Nice acoustic guitar sound - pretty opening - excellent soloing.
As David said a really nice composition with a lot happening - very sophisticated arrangement well sung an performed.
Well done.

This is really good!! Perfect sparse arrangement to show off the beautiful vocal. Really, really catchy (you can sing along with it in 15 seconds) but still fresh. Mandolin works perfectly. I hear the "Moody Blues" reference as someone mentioned and some mellow old Stones (As tears go by) vibe. GREEEAAAAT STUFFF!!! Take care. Greg

molsenhouse,

This is wonderful!

Your writing is incredibly strong. I take it from your comments that English is a second or third (or more) language for you. No-one who listens to this song would be able to pick that up. Your use of English is every bit equal to that of a native speaker. And then there's the arrangement and mix... these are absolutely superb. Is this you singing? It's a first class performance and interpretation of the lyrics.

I thoroughly enjoyed listening.

Best regards,
Noel

david – thanks for nice words!

"less is more" was my thought arranging this song – trying to make the music move along with the lyrics

…more of a composition than a mere song – i do take that as a compliment!

thanks for your kind words, robert!
– and for the language feedback – though, it's more comfortable to write in my native language!

still chasing for my "best song ever" ;-)

noel, thanks for your nice words about the song, arrangement and mix
and for the words about the language – i'm norwegian! :-)

as a musician, speaking another language is one thing – but trying to write lyrics is definitely another cup

yes, i do sing – though, i always consider myself a guitarist – i play the main guitar and doubling the mandolin solo

Pro studio mix. Great sound on our monitors.

"less is more," indeed. We love the open airy mix.

The fine vocals sit perfectly in the mix.

Nice!!

Amazing song molsenhouse! The "cry, cry, cry" vocals are REALLY powerful. Total onomatopoeia! Excited to finally use that word outside of school wink Thanks so much for the submission!
