Into the Badlands...with a little acid added to the rockabilly.
The surf guitar (@ half time) & harp are additions to the style.
A big struggle with the vocals here as I used Nectar2 for the first time & found my laptop quickly overloaded by the cpu requirement.

Nomad of the Heart

wouldn`t you like to ride
said the clown with toad eyes
ride around the mirrorball of heaven?
he took me by surprise
changing horses at the time
at the last 7-11

back then she was all the rage
a psychic doctor named Sage
chose me to ascend with the Master
it might have been the sun
but in her eyes I saw a gun
with one bullet in the chamber

oh father, is it time?
to go to that big empty in the desert and the bars
where wolves circle in a forest of stars
time to be a nomad
a nomad of the heart

I met a girl named Hourglass
it seemed strange but I let it pass
and for me she danced the whirlwind
I thought I`d found the promised land
when I saw her counting grains of sand
as around her room we`d spin

out below this big blue curve
there`s some truths you gotta swerve
the vultures are wearing suits and collars
but I don`t think the flood will wait
`til make all that`s crooked straight
and I gave that clown my last dollar

oh father, is it time?
to go to that big empty in the desert and the bars
where wolves circle in a forest of stars
time to be a nomad
a nomad of the heart

Hey Robert great tune, really feeling a spaghetti western vibe on this one!

Very cool tune Robert. Seen a few of those guys in the picture riding around here in Alberta :-)

Thanks Scott... yeah and quite a few are bringing their pickup truck mounts to retire out here on the Island now.

"the vultures are wearing suits and collars"

There are some really interesting images in this, Robert.

Cool title.

A good listen. The harmonica competes with the vocal in a few spots - you might pull it down in those spots...

Robert,

Great sound on this - some really nice images; also think the vocal is very cool.

Into the Badlands...with a little acid added to the rockabilly....That kind of says it all! This is a very interesting collage of words and sounds!! Definitely interesting and enjoyable! Take care. Greg

Thanks for your comments, Floyd.
I had made a note about the harp levels and then didn`t go back to it,so I appreciate your heads up.

Bob,
Glad you liked it - not my usual style on the vocals, but I enjoyed trying to sound a little Dylanesque!

Sounds great! lots going on here, very creative writing, lots of cool imagery. Like a Tarentino movie playing in my head!

Really nice. Has a real Johnny Cash feel to it (if you had a deeper voice) smile

Like everyone has said, a lot of imagery here.

Enjoyed it.

Kenny,

Glad you liked it.
A few less guns than those movies, but I enjoyed writing some weirdness into the lyrics.

Thanks for the listen, Steve...I would love to have a Johnny Cash voice implant for effect sometimes!

Hey Robert. This is very cool! Should be in the movies. Especially loved the intro.

Thank you, Joanne... I`m open to offers if Hollywood comes calling!

Fascinating imagery and and all around cool production. This would make a killer video.

Thanks J&B,
I appreciate you saying the production sounds ok. The process feels like quicksand to me, but if I ever get out and have some time I`d like to try my hand at that video idea.

Music for the spaghetti western movie 'Harry Potter goes Back to the Future'.

I really liked this as I am big fan of SYFY and Fantasy books and movies. Great lyrics here as well as super backing tracks and mix.

Hi Robertkc, Well done on this song! - I really like the harmonica throughout the song, it creates an interesting progression!

Thanks for the listen, Joe.
These new styles don`t need much added, but its still fun to tweak a little.
