Soundcloud - Modern Mozart in C Major

This was literally whipped up in BIAB. I imported a simple midi melody that I created and tweaked the chords, added the style and away it went.

BIAB is a serious tool for serious musicians and realtracks are great but the midi capability combined with quality VSTis like EWQL should not be underestimated.

Less than a minuet (sic) long

Cheers.
Mike.

Nicely done, Mike.

What are you using for the piano (vst)?

Hi. Thanks for the listen and nice comment.

The piano was EWQL Pianos Gold - the Yamaha.

Cheers.

This is so cool. I totally agree with the part about the BIAB midi goldmine.

The midi generation and comnping aspects have always been one of my favorite parts for classical stuff. I love it!

Great job on this. The piano sounds awesome.

Hello, Mike

As Noel said, this is very enjoyable! You've done a great job. The midi piano sounds excellent.
I love classic music very much.
As BIAB classical MIDI styles are very useful, I have also often used them.
And I am usually using EastWest instruments, too.
Enjoyed my listen a lot.

Best Regards.

Thanks Noel, David, Marc, Anthony and Shigeki.

It's just amazing how quickly you can shape and modify your ideas and experiment creatively with BIAB.

I'm getting back into midi in a big way right now and for what I'm doing at the moment use it more than realtracks.

Piano roll let's me tweak as much as I like and I have a lot to learn but just so impressed with being able to import a melody and detect chords etc.

I'm going to take the time to learn how to create and modify styles to get some really good phrasing in there. As I said, it's a very versatile tool.

Thanks again for the listen.

Cheers.
Mike.

Really great job with the MIDI here, as others have said. It's cool to hear how diverse and flexible you can get with it, and how good the MIDI piano sounds! You clearly have a lot of control over specific progressions and themes.

OK... now let's hear a symphony!

Thanks Will - Symphony in the planning stage!!!

I think with the maturity of development that PG put into midi over the years, it's very advanced in terms of what you can do. Couple that with the good sounding VSTis and computing power these days and you have a great product. Realtracks are great and I use them a lot but the midi capabilty is equally a huge selling point, especially when you couple that with the flexibility of style creation which is fully customisable.

As Peter would advocate - I'm having fun!

Cheers.
Mike.
