I've struggled with different versions of this song, made one with full orchestration, I think simpler is better. The strings in the memo did not make it through the mix, replaced with a single cello and some pizzicatos.

CAm I have loved you in the rain
EmAm through the sunshine and the pain

FG as the sunset turned red

CAm I remember in the moonlight
FG Watching clouds scatter by
CEm and reflections on the water
AmG caught the light from your eyes, and you said

C GC Em Don't let go

Nicely done Will!! A little more of a ballad than your usual style. I think the arrangement works very well. Nice job! Take care. Greg

Thank you. I'm developing confidence in my vocals, though I had to do quite a few before I was happy with it. I don't like to comp the vocals, I feel you can get in the groove and deliver a passable vocal if you are in tune with the song. Speaking of which, I am trying not to use the autotune, it always seems to introduce garbage.

Bingo! We never comp or autotune vocals and typically use the first take. I think it was on the Circle album that Roy Acuff said that you loose a little something each time you repeat a take.

I think your vocals are just fine as is the entire production.
Like Greg said a ballad from you is a bit of a departure.

We enjoyed the spin!

Will, you have created a beautiful mix of sounds here. Really liked the cello coming in! It makes the song. Take care, Torrey

Thanks Torrey, a well placed cello can add a lot to a song. I tried using the BB cello, but it didnt stand out enough
