Hello, everybody

This is my new song with jazz fusion feeling in which a forbidden love is sung.
I recorded this song with a live band a few years ago.
This time I created a remake version of it with RealTracks.
Now I introduce it to you.
Any comments encouraged.
Have at it.

Best regards.

Shigeki Adachi

Summary of lyrics

There is nothing but love
The bed is in a disorder
We are drifting in time

Sweet sighs
Heavy embraces
We are burning our lives and drifting

A taste of honey, a smell of sin
When the devil whispers to us
We are corrupted down to the bottom of an abyss
Together with deep kisses

You seduced me
I responded to it
With no hesitation of a moment

This love is forbidden
Therefore we are burning with desire much more
Every time we meet
We get drowned on the edge of pleasure

You are a thief
I am a sinner
There is nothing but love
There will be no future but now
Shigeki

Sultry - atmospheric - superb. Loved the strings and the vocal.
A classic composition.

Peter
Feeling some Billie Holiday here.

As always everything works together in a very supportive way.

Like Peter said, "sultry - atmospheric - superb"

The composition, production and performances are wonderful.

Very nice!

Shigeki Adachi,

This is exquisite. A "treat for the ears" in all regards.

Natsuki Yoshikawa's vocal is gorgeous.

The arrangement and production are "pro all the way". Top-notch mix.

The trombone solo is so nicely expressive.

The strings are excellent.

A great listen. (the live band version is just as nicely done)

floyd
What an awesome vocal. So much feeling. The backtrack was just excellent. Well done Shigeki
WOW! This is totally professional sounding! The vocalist is just perfect for your arrangement!

I think all of your songs are very well done and pro quality, but this one really catches my attention!

I like the way you used the strings. Many people let them play background chords, but you have used them to weave an interesting background motif. VERY classy!!

The live version is also very well rendered by the musicians, and quite true to your composition. I bow to you and to the other participants in the live version of your project! This is just wonderful, and I am very glad that you share your music us on the showcase forum.
This is incredible, animarorecords! Not a single complaint here - the vocal delivery, the arrangement, the mixing - all of it is superb! It almost reminds me of Portishead, or certain Massive Attack songs. You should be very proud of this tune! Can't wait to hear more from you smile
Hi Shigeki,

We have to agree with what everyone else has said. This is splendid! We listened to the live band version. Natsuki's voice is simply wonderful. She's the perfect singer for this song.

The song is a great production. Everything is mixed perfectly and the performances all stand out. This sounds as though it came straight from a major recording company's studio. What a wonderful listen! Thank you for that pleasure!

Alan & Di
Shigeki, you have done a masterful job putting this fine piece of music together. Your mixes are always so clean and professional. great work!! Thanks, Torrey
Well, this is definitely top notch!
Such a cool and well-balanced groovy feel to it.
And beautiful vocals.

Hello animarorecords, Beautiful work again! I always enjoy listen to your productions. Brilliant vocals too. Well done! smile
Yes, I think this in incredible too. A very sophisticated, moody, and mysterious composition.

I love the vocals, and the delicate, well balanced production.

A masterful arrangement. Wonderful song.

By the way, I love this singer's voice!!!

Hello, Peter, Janice & Bud, floyd, Scott, Pat, Deryk, Alan & Di, Torrey, Rob & Anne-Marie, Joe, David,

Thank you very much for taking the time to listen and comment.
I much appreciate your very very kind words and your continuous supports.
I am very glad you all like this tune and Natsuki's vocal.

Our music circle is holding a recording session by asking the teachers of the Yamaha music school to play our scores twice a year.
The main purpose is learning how to write music score for the good performance.
The guidance of scoring is carried out by the professional arranger.
We are learning the arrangement technique at actual recording practices in the way above mentioned.
Although we do not get good results at the beginning, we will gradually be able to obtain good results as long as we continue.
Someday I would really like to introduce the situation of the session to you.

Thanks again to all.

Best regards.

Shigeki Adachi,

The only word that I could think of when I listened to this was...

Your creation here is truly one of the best that I've heard on the forum. Your orchestration is exquisite (as floyd has already noted) and the vocals of Natsuki Yoshikawa are absolutely superb. What an incredible bunch of musicians you all are!

I would love to have your perfect pitch so that I knew what chords you used. They provided the scenery for a wonderful aural excursion.

I thoroughly enjoyed this.

All the best,
Noel
Hello, Noel

Thank you very much for taking the time to listen and comment.
I much appreciate your very very kind words and your continuous supports.
Unfortunately I do not have perfect pitch.
Instead, I memorize all the sounds of chords containing any tension notes or their combinations.
So it is possible to hear the structure of any chord instantly even if the root note is known.
And the jazz theory studied when I was young is also very helpful for my composition.

Best regards.

Shigeki Adachi

Another melodic song. Very enjoyable.
