Well the sun comes up
Every single day
And people like me
Try to make our way

Don’t want cause no trouble
No reason here to fight
But if you keep on pushing
I just might

You think that everything you have to say
Is so important that you should have your way
You act just like you are the hottest thing
Well I ain’t gonna kiss your ring

Cause people all around you paid their dues
And your crying constantly ain’t no excuse
You’d go to any length to make a scene
Well I ain’t gonna kiss your ring

The sun will shine
On all you do
Sooner or later
We’ll see what’s true

Don’t want cause no trouble
No reason here to fight
But if you keep on pushing
I just might

You think that everything you have to say
Is so important that you should have your way
You act just like you are the hottest thing
Well I ain’t gonna kiss your ring

Cause people all around you paid their dues
And your crying constantly ain’t no excuse
You’d go to any length to make a scene
Well I ain’t gonna kiss your ring

Kenny,

This is a great track! Love the "rolling" feel and excellent vocals. Love the little break with the vocal / backup voices - such a nice touch.

Love the write and the cool use of near rhymes. If I had those skills it would open up songwriting for me…a lot. And as floyd mentioned your melodies are always so engaging. They never fail to grab you from the get-go.

Your band is hittin’ the note and works perfectly with your vocal and the melody. And speaking of vocal…man, do you ever deliver this well.

Janice was singing along by the second verse smile

Kudos!!!!

Tom,

Appreciate your support and kind words,

there must be something in the water in Florida,

I know of a couple of great singer-songwriters down there.

Hey Kenny,

We're late to the party (Di's health issues put everything else on the back burner for a while). But glad we finally made it.

What's not to love about this one? The only thing that comes to mind is that it eventually comes to an end. Love the "fluid motion" of the backing tracks, particularly the drums and bass.

The vocal fills are fabulous! Great lyric, performance and mix. You're a true credit to the music creation world in our opinion. Keep writing and performing. We'll keep listening. Hasta luego, amigo.

Hi Kenny.

So, SO, late to this one and I think most of it's been said already.

Anyway, loved the whole thing.

I'm sure I could hear a bit of Dylan in the vocal phrasing, but I didn't see anyone else picking that up. Sounds like it could have come from the Highway 61 album, which is a favourite of mine.

Going back for the third listen!

Cheers, ROG.
