My latest recording made using the Drums, Bass & Organ from the _BADLUCK.STY (Xtra PAK).

I have added vocals plus rhythm, lead & slide guitars.

The song was mixed using Audacity and various effects such as reverb and echo added.

I wrote this song in the late 70's for the band that I was in at the time (ie. Aces High).
An original live recording of it can be heard at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68z2hYXitGU

Love the laid back groove you have happening on this.
Great riff, very hypnotic and memorable. Nice job on all the guitars, I especially like that tasteful outro solo. Vocals sound good too.
Good song, enjoyed the listen!

Hi Andyman, Thank you for sharing this with us! Great work with the vocals and progression of the tune. The guitar melodies are really nice! Well done! smile

Thanks for listening until the end.
I really enjoyed building up that guitar solo.
I tried to get a Doors feel to this song, but there's not much chance that an old guy from the North East of England can sound like Jim Morrison. laugh

Very cool tunes. I did the Doors vibe right away. Super vocal and very nice work on the guitar

This definitely has that trippy 70s vibe going on. Sounds a bit like The Doors in my opinion. Nice fade out at the end. The vocals and guitar sound great. Over all very well done.

What a tune, Andyman smile I really enjoyed the vibe of this one, it had me swaying for sure! I agree with those above who said it in that this reminds me of The Doors, for sure.

Thanks for sharing!

You've certainly kept that seventies vibe a live.
One small criticism at least to my ear is that the vocal gets a little lost in the mix.
Other wise I really enjoyed all fascists of the tune.
Well done.

Thanks for the kind comment Scott.
Yeah, I know what you mean about the Doors vibe.
It's strange how that only really came about after I had added the slide guitar.

Btw, I've just re-posted the song on Soundcloud as I've added backing vocals on the chorus.

There's also another new version of the song which has a slightly faster tempo and is sung in a different key by my son:

It's been said but, yes, the Doors feel is definitely there. And maybe a hint of JJ Cale with the cool laid back groove.

Very nice performances...vocals and guitar.

We enjoyed it!

YES! I caught some of the Mr. Mojo Rising vibe!! I think the vocals could be a bit louder. Cool stuff!! Take care. Greg

Very well done!
Your guitar sounds great and the backup harmonies work well.
I agree with others that your vocals would benefit from a boost in volume, otherwise its all good. Will head over for a listen to the faster version.
