Hello, everybody

This is my newest song written for our latest recording session in this summer.
I wrote it with the music style of the late 1950s or early 1960s such as Connie Francis, Neil Sedaka and etc.
I would like to introduce you two versions with the same score, which are the RealTrack version and the live band version.
Any comments encouraged.
Have at it.

Best regards.

Shigeki Adachi

Summary of lyrics:

In our future life
We might meet again accidentally
But the two of us at that time
Will be just acquaintances or only old friends

Although the goodbye I will say to you now
Does not mean that we will never meet again
Please understand the meaning of this goodbye
Please guess my true intension

Around the place where I put my shelf
The color of the floor has changed with the surroundings
But by the time the color becomes inconspicuous
Please forget me properly

As I will be careful not to go through this street
As much as possible
Even if you see me somewhere
Please don’t talk to me, please make indifference

I think the memories with you
Have not been all bad things
But I would like to put them away now
I want you to forget me properly

Sometimes I might remember you
And I might look back on our days with nostalgia
But there will not be any equal feelings to the past days
And I have already decided to say goodbye to you
Please guess my true intension
And please nod to me with silence
Shideki,

I find your music very refreshing and joyful.
Not knowing anything of this style (other than a few Neil Sedaka records my mum used to play), I was reminded of romantic movie songs from the 50`s.
The live band recording is my favourite of the two but its remarkable how close the vocaloid version and Yumi sound: did you make the vocaloid track as a way to introduce the song to your band members?
Super string arrangements and production as we`ve come to expect from you.

Robert
Both sound great,

I agree with everything Robert is saying in the previous post.

Has a nostalgic feel to me, very nice

enjoyed

I'm always excited when I click onto one of your songs because I know it's going to be a musical treat. This is, indeed, a real treat!

The BIAB arrangement is wonderful and the production is perfect. Thank you for the fabulous entertainment.

Alan
Shigeki,

I just listened to the live version. You and your friends are so talented! And I always love hearing Yumi sing. Another splendid offering from you and your friends. Wonderful!

I always look forward to seeing more of your guys' stuff! <3 I also love that you used Miku-chan (especially considering you used her vocals) as the album art for this song! Feels fitting for the style of the song, but I also really enjoy the live band version as well.
Hello, Robert, Kenny, Alan & Di, Ember

Thank you very much for taking the time to listen and comment.
And many thanks for listening the both versions and for your really nice comments to my composition, Yamaha teacher's play and Yumi's vocal.
I much appreciate always your very kind words and continuous supports.

Robert,
Yumi listens to the vocaloid version many times to remember the melody of this song.
On the other hand, the players never listen to it and play according to the instruction on the music sheet.
If you are interested in my music score used in the session, you can see the pdf file of it at the link below.

What a tune! I wouldn't change a thing here. The arrangement and mixing job on this is flawless, and the general tone and mood of it is incredible. I sincerely could listen to this over and over.

Thanks for sharing, Shigeki! You should be very proud of this one smile
Shigeki

Another superb composition expertly scored and produced.
You always hit the mark when arranging classic sounds. Fascinating listening to both versions.
Wonderful.

Peter
Shigeki, This is so good. It is very interesting to listen to both versions. The mix is superb. Keep up the wonderful work, Tom
Thank you for the opportunity to hear both versions. It is remarkable how well the BiaB/Vocaloid version sounds. You and BiaB folks should be proud of this as it well illustrates your talent and the capabilities of BiaB.

Our favorite was the live version but we are biased because we so much like her vocals.

Great work!

Hello, Deryk, Peter, Tom, Janice & Bud

Thank you very much for taking the time to listen and comment.
And many thanks for listening the both versions.
I much appreciate your really nice comments and continuous supports.
I also think that Band-in-a-box is a wonderful software.
In order to avoid the failure in the recording session, I often use BIAB in advance to check whether I can produce my intended sound even in actual performance. BIAB surely comes up to such uses.

Thanks again to all.
Best regards.

Another very pretty song. Your use of vocaloid frankly works extremely well.

I really like the chord structures that you used. Intentionally intriguing.

Shigeki Adachi,

Both versions are a delight to hear. Your score has such "life". You capture the era sound well.

You mixes are always excellent. The live recording is very well recorded, too...

Very professional sound on both. Enjoyed.

Shigeki ,to my ears, this song sounds perfect on every level! The production is so clean and the vocal is wonderful! You always produce great music! Thanks, Torrey

Alan is right-"always a treat"!! I had to listen to the live vocal because I think it does the song more justice to have a real singer. This is musically wonderful. In reading your lyrics, there is a beautiful sentiment, and a wonderful poetic sense. Excellent!!! Take care. Greg
Hello, Greg

Thank you very much for taking the time to listen and comment.
I much appreciate your really nice words and continuous supports.
And also many thanks for your comment to the lyrics.
The person who wrote this lyrics is KIYOTON (Pen Name).
I got acquainted with her at a certain famous music posting website in Japan.
She writes very beautiful lyrics, so I have already written about 10 songs against her lyrics.
This song is one of them.

Best regards.

Very cool Shigeki. Love that you put the Real track version and the live band version up. Very interesting the differents in sound and mixing. Loved them both.. Excellent vocal and super backtrack.. Well done

Hi Shigeki Adachi,

I've just discovered that even though I left a comment on Soundcloud a little while ago, I didn't write anything here! I'm very sorry for my oversight.

This is truly a wonderful composition and presentation. There's no-one else on the forum who arranges music like you do. It's shines with skill, skill and more skill. This genre seems to be one that sits very comfortably with you.

Both versions were great to listen to.

All the best,
Noel

Great composition exactly the style you wanted to do (Neil Sedaka ecc..)
My compliment for your live performance that is the version I prefer. Your vocal is better in this one

Sergio
Hello, Noel

Thank you very much for taking the time to listen and comment.
I much appreciate your very very kind words and your continuous supports.
Your comments are always very welcome.
And many thanks for listening to the both version.
Learning the orchestration skills is a long way.
I well understand that my skill is still less than mid way.
I would like to make every effort every day so that I acquire more skills.
Thanks again for your comment.

Best regards
