I'm going down where the junction meets the road.
I'm going down I'm leaving on my own.
I'm going down where no ones knows my name.
I'm going down there is no one else to blame.

Dont wait for me, don't know how long I'll be gone.
Dont wait for me, so sorry I treated you wrong.

I couldn't see how the love you showed was real.
I couldn't see how your kind words could heal.
Dont follow me I can not hide my shame.
Please let me be there's no one else to blame.

Dont wait for me, don't know how long I'll be gone.
Dont wait for me, so sorry I treated you wrong

Love the minor key. Also that Villain style is one of my favorites. Nice work. grin

I really liked this, Rob! I love that raw outlaw country vibe smile Not to mention that guitar groove is simply infectious! I loved when those strings came in around the 1:20 mark too, I wasn't expecting that.

Thanks for sharing! You should be proud of this smile

Rob,

I enjoyed hint of menace in the feel of this - such a great dramatic style for the song. I was surprised when the strings came in, but liked the cinematic vibe they bring.
Really good resonant vocals.

Sounds great Rob! This tune has a very inviting feel with a terrific melody! The resonator is the perfect touch for this one! Take care, Torrey

Really interesting song!! It has a bluesy feel with a country and a 60's influence. Love the resonator but I would put some verb on it. Excellent listen!! Take care. Greg

Hello Rob,

Love this! It's mournful but not a pitty-party. Strong in every respect. Maybe a little verb on the resonator? Cool song in a great genre. Lots to like here!

Rob, we always look forward to your posts. We are fans of "genre jumping" and your posts are like the proverbial box of chocolates -- you never know what your gonna get. grin

For this song you set up a great "band" to support both the write and your vocal...and speaking of the vocal that is a fine performance. And the "you connect some of the dots" lyric is very cool.

Well done!

Hi Rob.
With the strings I felt there was something lacking and they seemed to do the trick.
Thanks for your comments.
