https://youtu.be/uHAqJyGL-4chttps://soundcloud.com/torrey-bliss/sedona-sunriseWith this song I am continuing with another instrumental. A few years ago I accompanied my mom on a trip to Sedona, Arizona. I feel the Red Rocks area around Sedona is some of the most beautiful scenery you will ever find. This place left a lasting impression on me, and as a result this song was born! I recorded this for my mom because she loves this area so much. I was going for a "Southwest" feel/sound with this track and I feel that I got pretty close. I hope someone enjoys it! Thanks, Torrey

Wow, the groove on this is infectious! And that is some fantastic playing you did on this. I'm definitely getting a Santana sort of vibe with this one.
Thanks for sharing!
I don't think instrumentals get the true credit they deserve. This was so amazing, and while I have never been to the place that has inspired this particular song, I definitely want to go there now! Thanks for the share.
Torrey,
This really shines. Probably my favourite of your instrumentals- your playing has never sounded better and the melody the tune returns to is very catchy and uplifting.
Fantastic production- using the celtic rhythm guitar an inspired choice.
You`ve done your mom proud with this!
Robert

Hi Torrey,
I think everything's been said that this song deserves. It's amazing and a true pleasure to listen to. Your playing is outstanding - love the tone on your guitar. And I think you capture the feel of the Southwest quite nicely. I've been to Sedona three or four times and I fully agree with your assessment of its beauty.
That is a really great cut ... congrats on a wonderful piece!
Alan
Great intro. I really like the acoustic strumming which creates strong rhythmic base. Super guitar playing and the melancholy melody is a pleasure to listen to. Mix sounds really professional.

We agree with the Santana feel. Man, what a great melody and performance.
The choice of RT's is very effective and I suspect took a bit of auditioning to come up with.
I have family who spend time there and we would love to visit...and you video made it even more so.
We enjoyed it!

Dear Mr. Bliss...
To my ears, your composition, "Sedona Sunrise", has more of a "sunset" feel to it, because it has shades of the blues on it, especially in your wailing gee-tar performance. Your eclectic use of diverse Real Tracks is truly inspiring.
Then again, the energy in your arrangement certainly suggests that something is coming "up", over whatever horizon the listener's inner compass happens to be oriented, and it feels like something to look forward to...
Nonetheless (gonna have to look up the meaning of that word!), "Sedona Sunrise" really moves, not too fast, not too slow. It's the kind of ride that us musical hitchhikers have our thumbs sticking up for. "Going my way?" your song asks. In my case, I'm way more than glad you picked me up!
Sincerely,
LOREN
P.S. What a blessing to have your Mother in your life!
