20/08/2017 I LOVED YOU ALL MY LIFE

I JUST FORGOT TO REMEMBER
WHATS MY NAME WHERE IM FROM
I KNOW YOUR FACE BUT I DONT KNOW
WHERE OUR HEARTS BELONG

THIS COULD BE MY LAST TIME
ILL EVER LOVE YOU WHEN YOU SMILE
BUT WHEN IM GONE PLEASE REMEMBER
I LOVED YOU FOR ALL MY LIFE

I SEE ITS HURTS YOU AND IT HURTS ME
THERE WAS SO MUCH JOY
AND NOW THERES PAIN
BUT FOR EVERY RAINBOW THAT WE SEE
THERES ALWAYS SUNSHINE AFTER RAIN

THIS COULD BE MY LAST TIME
ILL EVER LOVE YOU WHEN YOU SMILE
BUT WHEN IM GONE PLEASE REMEMBER
I LOVED YOU FOR ALL MY LIFE

PLEASE TELL THE CHILDREN
IVE ALWAYS LOVE'D THEM
THERE MEMROIES COME AND GO EACH DAY
AND WHEN THE GOOD LORD
CALLS ME HOMEWARD
HIS GOLDEN LIGHT WILL GUIDE MY WAY

THIS COULD BE MY LAST TIME
ILL EVER LOVE YOU WHEN YOU SMILE
BUT WHEN IM GONE PLEASE REMEMBER
I LOVED YOU FOR ALL MY LIFE

Brad,

Excellent job on this. A tough subject - we have watch our neighbor declining over the last two years.

The arrangement and production and mix are very well done. Your best to date. Terrific job on the vocal, too - expressive.

Josie's background vocals really notch this up. Excellent job, Josie. Really brings the song to life.

What a great song Brad, really nice lyrics. A keeper for sure

Great job!!

Really good idea to bring Josie in on the background vocals here.

What a sweet touch.

A super job all around.
You did a great job on this, Brad. It sounds very professional, and the arrangement is seriously on point. Also, the vocal performance you did here is top notch too!

Thanks so much for sharing smile

Brad, Dont worry, friend. its because you got it bang to rights as they say. Personally dealing with this on a day by day basis watching someone you love(a parent in this case)slip in and out of the room of Life. The times out are getting longer but what is amazing is that in his lucid moments(and sometimes days)his Love for Mum(and hers for him)still shine like a beacon.if he could sing(God fobid! lol)i know he would sing "I have loved you all of my life". Excuse me now, I have eyes to blot.

I have to agree with everything that has been said thus far.

This is absolutely fantastic. The only thing that I can add is "why isn't this on the radio"? I think it would sell a ton DLs.

You two should be extremely proud of this!

This is a keeper!

Dear "Biglad"...

"I Loved You For All My Life" is the second song you've posted on the User's Forum that I've listened to and, once again, your willingness to expose your heart to us results in a profound listening experience.

The song would be powerful enough even if you only sang the lyrics in the first verse:

"I just forgot to remember
What's my name, where I'm from
I know your face, but I don't know
Where our hearts belong"

Right at the beginning of the song, in four brief lines with deceptively simple rhymes, you created with words an absolutely stunning and painfully vivid word image to describe the mental and emotional anguish that Alzheimer's disease wreaks in the mind, heart and soul of its bewildered victim(s).

That is what us songwriters strive for, isn't it? To get right down to the raw, unadulterated essence of the thing we want to sing about? I wish I had written those lyrics, not in an envious way, but just because they're an excellent, excellent example of how a song can get at the emotional truth of things.

Your Real Tracks choices deliver the musical ambiance that the lyrics need to reveal their power. I heard an ache in your voice that I believe could not have come from anywhere but your soul. Ms. Beck's chorused background vocals are sad and sweet at the same time as they express love and loss simultaneously.

I won't hesitate to call you an artist, sir, if art could be described as "the evidence of things unseen." (from the Biblical Letter to the Hebrews 11:1).

Most sincerely,

LOREN
