Freeway

By David Snyder

Where I’m driving
It’s nobody’s business
I’m on the freeway
And I’m driving alone
Heading out of
North Sacramento
Every mile of this world is my own

PreChorus

And the sun is shining on my face
And I’m dreamin’ ‘bout you baby
But I had to leave this world
Cause I got some things to do

CH:

On the Freeway
That’s where I’m driving
On the Freeway
This world is my own
On the Freeway
At least I’m surviving
On the Freeway
Might not ever go home

V2

Looking for a place
Where I can feel worthy
Looking for a band
That knows how to rock
Taking with me
A lifetime of memories
Taking with me
My band in a box

PreChorus

And the sun is shining on my face
And I’m praying for you baby
But I had to cut these ties
Cause I got some things to do

CH

On the Freeway
That’s where I’m driving
On the Freeway
This world is my own
On the Freeway
At least I’m surviving
On the Freeway
Might not ever go home

V2 Reprise

Looking for a place
Where I can feel worthy
Looking for a band
That knows how to rock
Taking with me
A lifetime of memories
Taking with me
My band in a box

CH

On the Freeway
That’s where I’m driving
On the Freeway
This world is my own
On the Freeway
At least I’m surviving
On the Freeway
Might not ever get home

Rideout:

Keep on driving
Keep on striving
Keep the faith
Yeah keep surviving

Keep on driving
Keep on striving
Keep the faith
Keep surviving

On the Freeway
On the Freeway
On the Freeway
On the Freeway

Great video David.
Most enjoyable.
Rob
David,
Yeah! A real home video with great music.Love that coast and its been too long since I took a road trip down that way.
Even though the volcano is missing I enjoyed this very much.

Robert
David, the video matched the song perfectly.

Great work!
Very cool tune David. Super vocal, backtrack and lyric. I got a Traveling Wilburys feel to the song. Guitars were super. The 12 strings wowser...
Free indeed!

Gas pump in Colorado - HA!

Some of the best sound I've heard on a YouTube video. Loud and clear - did you do something different to achieve that?

Nice.

Cool video, David! I've been to a few of those places but not all of them. Great video and the music, as always, is great. Thanks for sharing some of your trip with us ... it was a pleasure to ride along!

Alan
Great work on this, David smile I liked the song, and the video definitely adds another element to it! The fit together perfectly.

Thanks so much for sharing!

Thanks Rob.

Hope you had fun!

Robert KC Bro,

Did you not notice I put in a bubbling volcanic lava pit from hell just for you man?

Go back and watch it again man. go to 1:57.

I was thinking about you man.

smile
Thanks Mario!
Thanks Scott!

Ha ha ha. Thanks!!

Hey Floyd,

Man it was the same master I put on Soundcloud. That went through a pretty intense mastering process.

I think it might sound better on YouTube which is strange. Maybe they compress it less or something. I honestly don't know. Same master, same volume level.

No clue.

Glad you liked it man!!
David,
I stand corrected -there`s the bubbler. Now you made me watch it again and I`m stoked on getting into making song video`s!

Robert
Hey David,

Your songwriting just keeps on setting new personal bests! This is great.

I love the structure and you've maximised using the format. The prechorus-to-chorus is excellent! I'd love to be able to accomplish the sense of lift that you've created. I haven't managed to find that secret yet, though. Any tips?

I was with you all the way. Once I got used to the car driving on the wrong side of the road, I settled back and enjoyed every kilometre smile

All the best,
Noel
