Hello, everybody

WENDY is the famous Peter Pan's Wendy.
This tune is a remake version of my live recorded song about 10 years ago.
This time I used RealTracks to post it on this forum.
Fortunately the independent vocal track was left, so I diverted it unchanged to this version.
On the other hand, the accompaniment track was left as only 2 channel mix, though there was an important guitar part I wanted to use by all means.
So I tried to extract only the part of the lead guitar using TRAX software.
Since the outline was somewhat weak, I added VST instrument to reinforce it.
Any comments encouraged.
Always welcome.

Best regards.

Shigeki Adachi

Summary of lyrics:

You can cry, you can stay silent
I'll be with you until you can smile
Feathers you are preparing for the morning
Are still very fragile

Where I came from, where you are going
The day will surely come when you know all the truth

You may laugh, you may get angry
I will become your mirror to see yourself
If you open your mind, if you relax yourself
You can see the sign guiding you to tomorrow

The sky and the ocean always exist horizontally
And they are spreading out blending their colors each other

You can touch me, you can kiss you
I will become the wind to deliver you the perfume of the sea
Breathe deeply, raise your face
And the sun will shine from the clouds

After a long storm, ships will leave the harbor putting up their flags
And will sail beyond the shining waves

You can go, you can fly
I will allow you if you challenge a new page
Standing up the mast and spreading my arms
I can also have my wings to see you off

Another excellent production. The Guitar Overdrive sits just so well in the mix and the Synth Strings are excellently included.

Takako continues to deliver powerful and clear vocals. A perfect collaboration.

This is excellent from the very first note.

The key change at 2:51 adds even more polish.

Excellent, really excellent.
Shigeki Adachi,

The driving synth rhythm is nice. That guitar is excellent. The constant, consistent snare works. TAKAKO's vocals are strong - excellent!

The song has the feel of a modern Broadway musical...

(The original live version is nice. I like your updated version).

floyd
Shigeki,

A very enjoyable big sound ( I agree with Floyd it has the feel of a "show" tune)and that driving synth rhythm works well.THe guitar sounds just right in the mix so your rescue was worth the effort.
I also like the original recording - a fine vocal by Takako - and wonder what the venue was?

Robert
Hi Shigeki this was excellent. Super vocal and backtrack. Loved your chord progression on the is one as well..

I totally agree with the above comments, cool chord progression and yes a big sound!
You always manage to post quality music with a very distinct signature.

This one's another winner!

Very professional Shigeki Adachi and TAKAKO
the later version is an improvement....

Listening to Ballade for The Betrayal right now
while I'm writing this.... very interesting stuff!
We listened to both and like the updated version a bit more. You did a great job extracting the guitar track.

Like floyd said it has the sound of a Broadway musical. And the sound is big. It sounds terrific on our monitors.

Everything, including the wonderful vocals, has a pro studio sound.

Excellent!

Wow, this is fantastic! It sounds so huge, so lush, and so full. If I had to use one word to describe it - it sounds epic. I could imagine this sounding incredible in a movie or video game.

Great work, and thanks so much for sharing smile
Very nice pop song. Synth and bass create nice 80's feeling. That guitar melody and the chord structure remind me of Alan Parson's Project song Since the last goodbye.

Janne
Hello, Shigeki...

Here's yet another song that proves that you are a musical chameleon, as I believe I've mentioned to you before.

Weren't songs arranged like this called "power ballads" during the 70's? They possessed common traits: strongly emotional lyrics belted out like anthems by singers with powerful voices augmented by driving basslines, full-blown synth orchestras and plenty of over-driven guitar solos.

Ms. Takako's vocals are exuberant and soulful. Actually, I would bet that she's holding back, which only means we'd better prepare ourselves for a future unveiling of her full singing powers!

Your lyrics, as usual, seem almost esoteric, but in a flagrantly beautiful way because of their visionary sharpness. It's as though you were attempting to deliberately blur the line between reality and dreams, the past and the future, to create your own world.

I think your own arranging skills invite Band-In-A-Box users like me to explore its capacity for building more orchestrally-textured compositions.

Sincerely,

LOREN

I really enjoy Takako's vocals! <3 They really help sell the song. I can't believe the original was made 10 years ago. I'm kind of curious to hear it! I think your use of RealTracks here is pretty phenomenal.

Can't wait for the next one!
This reminds me of the Sergent Peppers album.
Great vocals and tune.

Hi Shigeki,

Somehow, I overlooked this one. But I'm delighted I finally saw it and listened to it. As someone else commented, this is a BIG sound! A perfect mix and performance by all band members. Love you vocalist! The guitar riff is perfect. A great, modern sound .. excellent. Also, enjoyed the key modulation before the last verse.

Alan
Shigeki:

Please let Ms. Shima Asane know that I think her lyrics for "Wendy" are gorgeous and visionary! I wouldn't be surprised to find out that she is just as creative in other arts such as drawing, illustration, or painting.

Sincerely,

LOREN

Shigeki Adachi,

Please accept my sincere apologies. These days I seem to specialise in getting to song posts late!

Whenever I see your name on the forum, I know that I am in for a musical treat. Your arranging skills and composing skills are legendary... the name 'John Williams' just sprang to mind when I typed that! In all seriousness, I greatly admire your work.

What can I say about this one? I think the below says it all....

Incredible music!

All the best,
Noel
Hello Animarecords, This is brilliant! Great work with the guitar and vocals. Always glad to hear your pieces. Well done! smile

I much appreciate your very very kind words and your continuous supports.
Your comments are always really really welcome.
It is a great pleasure to compare with John Williams.
Of course I do not have a talent at all to compare with such a big composer.
But I really appreciate your compliments.

Best regards.
